Re: Raspbmc Distribution now in Beta

I've had a few crashes, plus a lot of my thumbs/fan art is missing or scrambled.

Plan on reinstalling tomorrow.

Have I copied it to the wrong location?
Location should /.xbmc/userdata/advancedsettings.xml - in the same directory as guisettings.xml.
Yep, that did it :)

Thanks ;)

Ok, checked the log and found this:

Re: Raspbmc Distribution now in Beta

Right, has anyone got the MySQL stuff working on this yet? I've just worked out where to copy the advancedsettings.xml, but after a reboot it doesn't seem to have picked anything up. Worked for me - picked up the metadata I'd previously created with OpenELEC (a myvideos63 database), then Raspbmc au...

I've just worked out where to copy the advancedsettings.xml (/opt/xbmc-bcm/xbmc-bin/share/xbmc/userdata), but after a reboot it doesn't seem to have picked anything up.

Re: OpenELEC meets Raspberry Pi - part 1 (XBMC)

So even though there is now a default advancedsettings.xml file, I'm not sure if it'll overwrite an existing one on upgrade to the newer firmware. haven't tried it yet but stands to reason that it won't. I'm curious about that as well, as I have the MySQL stuff in my advancedsettings at the moment....

11023: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6926994/OpenELE ... 23.tar.bz2

Might not work though due to the complaints about the small kernel file (I haven't tested it yet).

Hi mate,

I see the same thing. Just built 11023 and it has a 3.5mb kernel file.

Re: OpenELEC meets Raspberry Pi - part 1 (XBMC)

I assume it's related, as I just can't build anything after the ccache commits :( Um, there's nothing in there about the ccache location though, not sure what's going on in there. Does changing the location back whilst using the latest builds do anything for you? Here's your error: /home/simon/Open...

Re: OpenELEC meets Raspberry Pi - part 1 (XBMC)

And it's the changing of the ccache stuff that's broken it for me. Can anyone familiar with Linux tell me what I need to do to get it working again? I built the VM with a 50GB HDD so I'm assuming it's not a space issue, but then what I do I know. Thanks!! So I'm not sure which build you're on, but ...

Unfortunately I've tried that. I've also tried completely deleting the OpenELEC.tv folder and re-cloning from scratch. Always the same error. Very odd as I've built loads of images using this VM, and nothing has changed (aside from making sure everything is up to date). I always now get the same er...

Right, I'm stumped then if it works OK for you. I've tried it a few more times and always the same error. I've made sure everything is up to date (as far as I can tell), but I don't know enough about Linux to work out what's wrong from the error messages.
