Re: Cable For Multiple GPIO board?

Thanks for the response. I'm connecting a noisepower socket controller http://noisepower.co.uk/mains-control-raspberry-pi , a Waveshare 3.2″ LCD, which would then be connected to a small circuit board that uses Ground, GPIO4 and the 3.3V line. The cicuit board and the noisepower socket controller pl...

Cable For Multiple GPIO board?

I have an LCD screen attached but would like to daisy chain another board from the GPIO pins. Does anyone know if I can get a cable that has two connectors (like an old hard disk IDE cable), or is there another way to achieve this? I found this http://www.amazon.com/ribbon-cable-Raspberry-stackable-...

Re: Berryboot v1.1 - Boot menu / OS installer

Berryboot seems to have become corrupted - after the selection menu the screen went black, and now I get nothiing on power up, no Raspberry splash screen or anything. The Pi and Card are OK, have tested with another card and OS, and can view the card in windows OK. What is the suggested recovery app...

Re: SqueezePlug for Raspberry Pi ready for download

Should this play WMA files?

When I try nothing plays and I get the following error in the server.log:

[12-08-03 19:27:22.8936] Slim::Player::Song::open (409) Error: Couldn't create command line for wma playback for [file:///music/somesong.wma]

Re: Raspbian binaries now available (MESS, MAME, neogeo)

Thanks for the MAME binary: finally Robotron running on my Pi!
Shame it's not powerful enough for the graphic effects.

Keep up the good work!

Re: Clone sd card

If you are on windows you can use the win32DiskImager.exe to read as well as write cards.

Choose a new file name from the dialogue, then click the 'read' button and it should back up the card to the file.

Edit: hah, 3 seconds too late!

Most common problems caused by SD cards?

Posting my personal experiences in the hope it helps someone else. I ordered my Pi from RS, and choose the additional Transcend 4GB SD card to save me having to figure out which compatible card to buy. It took me hours to get that card to boot, after formatting, reformatting, checking for bad sector...

Re: Would anyone be interested in a York, UK meet?

I'm York based and just got my Pi, so a gathering would be interesting!

Temperamental to start with, but seems to have settled down, have openelec running well, but couldn't get the kb/mouse working in the gui on the debian release. Be nice to see how others are fairing with it.
