Re: Meetings in Liverpool

I have visited DOeS but feel that there is a need for specific focus on Pi instead of making. There is also. Lynex group who meet there but not best suited to Pi chat.

Meetings in Liverpool

Who is up for getting together to talk, share and generally mess about with all things Pi? I am very much an enthusiast who uses SCRATCH to control my robots. I would be happy to set up a meeting to see if and how we could have our own group.

Re: GPIO PWM

I have got 2 dc motors on my Pi Bug and it drives forward back left and right.. I have a Deek Robot motor board and a Pridoria motor board. Both work in the same manner, using gpio pins 17 18 27 23. Control is by turning on and off the . I have yet to look into speed control. Hope this helps.

Re: Raspberry pi controlled rc car

Thanks for that but I think this is for GPIO control before the latest update. SCRATCH controls them directly now without any downloads.

Re: Robot with SCRATCH

Thanks for the replies. I am sing two motors from my PiToGo Lite that does not go, soldering skills not good enough. I guess they are 120:1 as they rotate at the same rate when powered directly. I am using the 4tronix ball caster as opposed to a wheel castor and it is free to move. I was using a Pri...

Robot with SCRATCH

I have made a 2 wheeled bot using 4tronixs motors and wheels, Pridopia motor board and Rasp Pi B+ and coded with SCRATCH. This is a basic set up to show novices how to make a robot vehicle before moving on to Python etc. I have a six 1.5v batteries for the motor board and a power pack for the Pi. Wo...

PWM Control with scratch

Most youngsters are interested in Minecraft and gaming and I think we are missing the opportunity to get them interested in Robotics. Dare I say STEM. I have learnt to code in SCRATCH and can drive 2 dc motors from an L293D chip. I know need to learn about speed control of the motors. Can anybody he...

Re: Raspberry pi controlled rc car

I have just used SCRATCH to code 2 dc motors for my robot veh with RPi b+. I have used a pre soldered board with L293D and gpio pins 17 and 18 for motor 1 and 27 and 22 for the other. Separate power for the motor board. Any help? I am looking for PWM code to change the speed of the motors, but must ...
