Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

On my piZero camera (wired not wifi) I get about 5.5% cpu on raspimjpeg when recording a video. Networking / wifi will increase load. There should definitely only be 2 raspimjpeg processes showing in ps -A. Check the /etc/rc.local to make sure there is only one start up command in there. If you go ...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

I have cameras running on stretch with very low cpu usage (<3%) so it is not directly related to that. Your htop output seems to show several raspimjpeg processes running. That isn't right. There should only be 2, one main process and a watchdog version which has should have 0 cpu usage. Restart and...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Hello, due some circumstances (someone has stolen my cam in the garden and looked fully inside the camera this idiot) I had to install a completely new raspberry cam. I re-ordered the zero w and put the newest stretch image even with the current RPICAM Control last week. I installed the scripts as b...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

...There is, however, buffering in the MMAL interface. Currently these are set to the recommended numbers. There is a config for the h264_buffers in the /etc/raspiconfig file. It has a value of 0 which then sets to the recommended level of 1. One can increase that to see if it helps. Hello btidey, ...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

If you are recording to a off-camera NAS then it is best if you use the facility to record locally on the SD card and move the recording to the final destination during the MPBox process. Live recording directly to the network location is hazardous if there is any glitch in the process as the buffe...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Hello, i have following problem. I am running 2 Cams simultaneously connected to the same NFS Server. One is a RPI 1 connected via LAN running Version 6.2.21. The other (zero w) connected via wifi, running 6.4.15 (updated today due to the following problems). The constellation is: on second 0, 20 an...

Re: RPi 3: Disable WiFi and BT?

Hello, I have the same question. After Upgrading all Software (SD-Card comes from a RPi 2) Wifi Interface and BT Interface are now accessible BUT (not connected to Wifi) the CPU temp rises from about 45 degree to 52 degree (you can clearly see when I made the update. The temperature logging was made...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Hello and good morning :) thank you again for your reply. A few minutes ago I tested again. But it seems, that I have ALSO to put a "ca 0" in motion stop to cut the recording. In the attached screenshot you can see my current test-settings. In that case it records 17-18 seconds and stops recording f...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Hello btidey, extremely sorry for getting confused. Now I gave a new try and set max_capture to 15 and autocapture_interval to 20, saved the settings, stopped the scheduler, cleared the log and started the scheduler. There is also no video captured :( Log is now: {2016/02/18 10:49:01} Capturing imag...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Now my question is: while video recording is running I also can record an image manually that works also fine. But timelapse is grayed out. For my purpose I also want to capture one image per minute automatically while video is recording. Because timelapse does not work, is there any other possibil...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Hello, a few years ago I bought my Raspberry PI and recently the genuine noir camera to play a little bit around with that. after some playing with raspistill and raspivid I found your solution and I think it is the best :) My first purpose was to get a 24/7 recording to a NFS mounted HDD over wifi....
