Re: usb stick is read only

I successfully installed the ntfs driver:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install ntfs-3g

Again in Windows I formatted the usb stick to ntfs.

Now it works fine in the Pi!

Thanks folks!

Re: usb stick is read only

OOC when you were running Wheezy how was the stick mounted (eg. via an auto-mount method or via an fstab entry ). Raspian Jessie (+ PIXEL desktop) by default uses the GUI file manager to detect and auto-mount "removable media", something that appeared "quite late" in Wheezy**. (Whilst writing this ...

Re: usb stick is read only

Problem solved as followed: In Windows I formatted as FAT32, (instead of ntfs.) Now, the usb-stick works as normal, I can read, write and delete on it without issues. I double checked this by re-formatting (in Windows) to ntfs, and again it was read only. So formatted again to FAT32 and the problem ...

usb stick is read only

Last night I downloaded the latest Rasbbian Jessie with Pixel image and created an sd card to boot my RPI2b. All seems well, except that the usb memory stick now is read only. I can see the (media) files and play them, but I cannot delete them and I cannot add files. This is the path to the usb-stic...

Re: The screen is 'sliding' ( gap between screen and bezel )

I have the same issue (screen mounted in Pimoroni Pibow stand too) after one month of normal use. Have contacted my supplier (Kiwi Electronics in The Netherlands).

My bluetooth dongle is working fine with my keyboard. My Amazonbasics bluetooth player does show up after scanning, but it fails to connect. Help would be appreciated.

A video I made about the official touchscreen display

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IThb4WZbuBk Being totally new to Raspberry Pi and Linux, I found it quite a challenge to get this setup together. I was so glad with the result that I decided to make a video of it. It took me a couple of hours to find all this myself. In the end, I had an excellent ...

Re: Touchscreen Display is not working :-(

The screen does NOT work with NOOB distro. You need to download Raspbian Wheezy and create a new SD card with that distro. Download here: https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/raspbian/ To create your SD card: https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/installation/installing-images/README.md and do ...

The typical soda cans - non-ferrous - and water bottles that the kids bring to school. Perhaps the Sense HAT is not the right sensor?
I was hoping to be able to use the Sense HAT because it is so well documented.

Advice welcome on science project (teacher), Pi + Sense Hat

I am a Belgian language teacher (English as a second language) and I have a group of 25 science students under my wing, age 16-17. Once per week, I challenge them with a 'scientific English' class, next to their regular English. For next semester, I have a small budget and I have decided to set up a...
