Re: Can I run GParted, without the "live" / boot?

apologies, but I'm very new to all of this. You're saying that I can install GParted on my Pi, and then use that software on the Pi to adjust the partition sizes of the SD card that the Pi is running on? Make a debian USB drive then run gparted from that to resize your SD card. remember you have to...

Re: Synchronet BBS on the PI

I'm all installed now, but seem to be having issues with SSH, Telnet & FTP. I had it working locally, but now can't connect from outside the network. HTTP is working fine. Any suggestions on what to look for? BTW, port forwarding in router is set correctly. Did you port forward ports 21,22 and 23? ...

The current version of Mystic BBS comes with an older version of the docs. Its in the docs folder. I run a BBS on my Pi too. It is Cyberia BBS at cyberia.darktech.org. When you say you want to add text files to the BBS, how do you mean? Uploading them? Or making them readable via a menu option?[/quo...

Re: Raspberry Pi Supplied SD card

Hi, Received a new Model B V2 starter kit as a present with "8Gb" Raspberry SD/micro SD card. After formatting with SD association formatter, it is only showing 812Mb capacity, not enough to transfer Noobs/Raspbian from download location to the PI. Pretty annoyed the supplied Raspberry SD card isn'...

Hello all, First poster here. Pretty much a Linux noob as well. I messed with it some in the early 90's but I couldn't run AOL and punt people so I stuck to win95 and thru my career have only been exposed to winblows. Now I want to get my kids into programming and what not.so I run raspbian on all ...

True he still needs to unzip NOOBS but thats a simple process. (the 1st NOOBS download is a zip not an ISO). FYI, none of the RPi downloads are ISOs. Just because some have the filename extension 'img' does not mean they are ISOs. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_image If you read what I said sp...
