what alsa config changes in 2017-11 PIXEL (raspbian stretch full)
Heya folks, someone let us know that the instructions we have for I2S audio output still work well on raspbian *lite* but not as much on *full*. Last time round, we even had scratch and the menubar vol control working with I2S which was really a beautiful thing. As of Nov 2017's Raspbian full, I2S a...

Re: Price Gouging
Adafruit - also jumping on the wagon by not offering any Raspberry Pi's unless you order $350 worth of their offerings or buy a "kit". we have a promotion where we give away a free raspberry pi, we do this with many products, right now it's the pi. we include the pi in our starter pack wh...

Just saw a post on another forum where someone was commenting that the naysayers seem hell bent on wrecking a charity designed to help teach children , simply because they got banned from here (I've never regretted bans here - all thoroughly deserved, and I'm pretty easy going! Surprising few of th...

Re: Raspberry Pi - best trojan horse ever?
here was my reply :) You may know Adafruit an an open source & open source hardware company - I love open source and open source hardware, but we also love usability. The lovely thing about the Pi is its low cost, low power, and small size. It has USB, Audio, Ethernet, Composite, RAM, GPIO, I2C....

Re: Touchscreens for Raspberry Pi
One possible solution (god love the people at AdaFruit): http://www.adafruit.com/products/335 They say up front that it is designed for an Arduino, but they wrote an open-source library that should be "easily adaptable." If you don't mind the smaller display area, this would be a good sta...
