Re: [Possibly] stupid question

Hello Tom, No it is not a stupid question and I would like to add my grievance to your post. I am visiting my grandchildren for Christmas. They have Pi's but they can not connect to the internet. The only internet machines are windows machines so I am unable to download any files and use a memory st...

Re: mono install

Hello Plugwash, Thanks for your reply. The RaspberryPi is all about education and thanks to Wikipedia and the Debian ArmHardFloatPort page I got some education. I now see your problem even if I have not looked at the nitty gritty. Obviously a lot of work involved, quick solution not expected. Cheers...

Re: mono install

Hello Plugwash, Thanks for your reply. Shame about mono. I am no programmer, let alone in C, which I guess mono is written in but looking at the error message it might be a file containing widgets that is missing. Is there any point in asking if there is a packing list for mono develop and checking ...

Re: Cancelling my order

<t>I don't have my Pi yet and I am not going to muck about with Virtual Machines but I have been wondering about instruction set for the Broadcom chip.  From what JamesH says in his post he infers that this is not available.  Is it worth exploring the Broadcom web site?  I thought it may be a cut do...

Re: RS update

Hi rbn

I don't suppose there is any indication on the packaging or PCB itself of where or who in China is making the device?.......

Re: RS update

I do question RS's interest in all this.  My previous experience with orders from RS has been entirely good, but then it was for very ordinary in stock items.  Their customer approach is entirely different to Farnell's.  Time will tell if they are as good of the mark.
