Re: ULN2803 Problem: LED and Motor (series)

No, you don't want the LED in series with your motor! That just shows you don't understand what you are doing. Put the LED in parallel with the motor and remember to use a dropping resistor. Ask yourself - how much current does it take to run the motor? Then, ask yourself - how much current can an ...

Re: ULN2803 Problem: LED and Motor (series)

You don't want the LED in series with your motor! Actually I want. What kind of answer is that ?! What is the voltage drop of the ULN2803 and the LED? How much voltage is left for the motor? I haven't checked the ULN2803 voltage drop, but the voltage drop of the LED is not that much I checked it as...

ULN2803 Problem: LED and Motor (series)

Hi , This is the schematic of what I have built. The +5 volt of the GPIO is connect to a motor and LED (series). The problem is that only the LED is turned on and the motor vibrates VERY slow. Hard to notice the vibration even. If the LED is bypassed, the motor works quite strong. Any Idea for this ...

Re: Python GPIO does not work on Raspberry Pi 2

@yugi_oh You should be using device tree now. It should now work. Thank you for your post. But when I remove the "device_tree=", the i2c stops working and "i2cdetect -y 1" raise the error : Error: Could not open file `/dev/i2c-1' or `/dev/i2c/1': No such file or directory In case I uncomment the "d...

Re: Python GPIO does not work on Raspberry Pi 2

I'm fairly certain I left that disabled because I didn't know what it was. What is it exactly? I'll definitely try enabling it. It's something you have to be using if you want to use RPi.GPIO. I'm not competent to explain its purpose. If your /boot/config.txt contains a line such as the following t...
