Re: Windows on RPI

I think Windows 10 can run on arm. I wouldn't recommend doing this! Steps 1. Break in Microsoft get a copy of the Windows 10 source code 2. Rewrite the x86 assembly into arm assembly. 3. As Windows is already rewritten in c and c++ all you have to do is get GCC to compile it and use Nasm but it's go...

Re: Has any user of 'PIXEL' actually read the license agreem

The pictures are ugly any way.
They should bring back the last Pi wallpaper (not the really old one.)
If people complain enough I'm sure they would bring back the old one :D

How does RISC OS boot if the developers don't access to the low level bootcode.bin and start.elf
For example how do they boot the risc kernel?

Re: Raspberry backup

If you maker a empty text file on Windows and name it Backup.img
Go into win32disk imager and read onto that file.
Problem is if you expanded your root file system it will be massive if your card was 4GB that's how big the file will be.
So what you can do is put it in a zip file. :D

Re: Install MS Excel on Pi 3 Model B

There's no version of Windows for Raspberry Pi. Personally I would use Linux as its 'Nearly Always' free from backdoors. You should try out raspbian Linux. And use either libreoffice or OpenOffice. LibreOffice I believe is faster. I know libreoffice is a fork but currently I think libreoffice is mo...

Re: Weather Display and Calendar

If your looking for a quick a dirty solution.
I don't know about the calendar though
You can try this:
1. Write OpenELEC to a SD Card http://openelec.tv/get-openelec
2. Start Pi with SD Card.
3. Connect To Internet
4. Configure Weather http://kodi.wiki/view/weather

And it should work.

What about set top boxes with a rf output like sky set top boxes.
And I find analogue pal is easier to broadcast that DVB-T (all that multiplex stuff and compression:-( )

Re: Analogue PAL TV on Raspberry Pi

Can you find a Linux-compatible USB receiver for that? If so, there's most likely software supporting it that'd work on Pi, too. If you (can) get simple analog video from that (in same way that Pi outputs it), you can use a STK1160 dongle for receiving it. I should of phrased it better I'm not talk...

Hello From My Own experience this is a common problem on Raspbian. 1.Make sure when your done with the Pi you shutdown completely do not pull power till its done shuting down. You go to Need a lot of processing power because emulators emulate hardware which is cpu hungry.
I would recommend the Raspberry Pi 3 as it the latest Raspberry Pi.
Latest Hardware Specs ARMv7.
