Engineers and dogs (probably OT - apologies)

I'm guessing the embedded system is not a RPi, but I thought it would be of interest anyway.

Sorry if it's old hat and you've seen it before ...

Re: Gertboard Assembly Thread

Working through the test programs is a good exercise in familiarisation. I quite agree, and have been doing this today - along with studying the Gertboard schematics carefully. While ordering the kit from Tandy, I also ordered 1 x 276-157 (100mm Female to Female Jumper Wires) @ £1.24 and 1 x 276-15...

Re: Gertboard Assembly Thread

Gertboard kit arrived yesterday lunchtime and I spent the afternoon building it. I used a Weller PS-3D iron like this one: http://www.mostlyaudio.com/soldering1.html 22swg 60/40 solder (RS 555-235) http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/solders/0555235 - and a solder sucker, which I used a lot, to tidy up bl...

Re: Hard-float and repository?

In other words - if you want a general purpose RPi - probably best go with Debian Wheezy. If you are going to use your RPi for a specific purpose and performance is an issue, and the software is supported, then go Raspbian? That's why I just ordered two - horses for courses ;-) Hoping I got that ri...

Raspberry Pi in the news? [solved]

Not really a glitch, more of a question. Where would be the most appropriate place to post links/info on Raspberry Pi as seen in the media (TV, Magazines, web sites etc), such as this from a while back: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-17742730 - or this rather more recently: http://www.theregis...

Is anyone planning on attending the Maker Faire this weekend in San Mateo, California? I plan on being their with my two kids on Saturday afternoon.
