Re: Powering a Portable

Yes. I was just using that power bank as an example. Really all I need is some sort of power circuit that will provide 5V/4A and allow for pass-thru charging.

I am going to assume you have a wifi adapter for you pi Try using the SSH terminal program called puTTY ( http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html ) All you need is your username and password (defaults are pi and raspberry respectively) and the ip address (open up command prom...

Re: PowerBoost 1000 Charger Problems

If I had to take a guess I would say you destroyed the powerboost with some static. On most bare PC boards with semiconductors you have to be careful of electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage. On a lot of basic electronic discussion boards, this is not stated enough! Although I believe the Pi is pret...

Adafruit PowerBoost 1000 Charger

I have a few questions about the Adafruit PowerBoost 1000 Charger (https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-powerboost-1000c-load-share-usb-charge-boost/overview) 1. I can charge the battery and power the circuit at the same time correct? 2. I don't know if this is repetitive but you can use your circuit...

Re: Amplifier Issues

You have tested some components successfully, so it must come down to what is left: the power supply or the amp. The amp is capable of 2x 3.7W output, so nearly 8W total, and allowing for losses that probably needs 10W input power. 10W / 5V = 2A. Are you using a PSU that is capable of 2 amps output...

Re: Class D amp not loud enough

I'll tell you how I've done it. I've ignored G and G' pins. I have the 2x4 header block soldered to the gain portion of the board and use a jumper to select the required gain level. I have a headphone socket wired to the board: Left to L+. Right to R+. (Headphone) GND to R-. I've then joined R-, L-...
