Re: Sleep Mode - and or turn off backlight?

I can also confirm that upgrading does not solve this problem. Anything else I could try?

Thanks!

Re: Update multiple users to pixel

I did this a little different because I no longer have a user named "pi" on my pi. I renamed /home/{user}/.config/lxsessions/LXDE-pi/desktop.conf to desktop.conf.bak This immediately applied changes from some system folder. For good measure, copied /etc/sdg/lxsession/LXDE-pi/desktop.conf to /home/{u...

Re: [how to] enable long touch as right click

Thanks for your help. I can confirm that making a symlink from /dev/input/event0 to /dev/twofingtouch works. LOVE having right-click again! :D

Edit for noobs like me: the command to start this magic if you symlink like I did is

Code: Select all

 ./twofing /dev/input/event0

Could you explain in a little more detail for a noob how you got this working please. Especially how you compiled.

Thanks!

Re: Raspberry Pi eBook Viewer

I like FBReader. It's lighter than Calibre and plays nicely with the official touchscreen.

Re: New Display - Cursor Jumps and Clicks all over the place

I have this same problem when I plug my pi's power supply into a cheap inverter. It does seem that a "dirty" power supply can cause this.

Re: Matchbox Keyboard Alternative

I have had the best success with xvkbd. It's in the raspbian repository, and is quite light on resources. The documentation isn't very user friendly (in my opinion), but I eventually edited the layout and size to suit me.

Now if I could just figure out a way to emulate a right click in Jessie!

Re: [how to] enable long touch as right click

@JimmyN It seems that xinput isn't installed by default. You can install it with sudo apt-get install xinput I think this may be a Debian Jessie problem. See http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=115567 and http://superuser.com/questions/992917/touchscreen-right-click-emulation-doesnt-work If...
