Raspberry Pi4 will not boot from USB is SD card is in as well

I have configured my RPi4 to boot from USB stick. I adjusted the boot order to boot from USB stick 1st. If I power on the Rpi4 with just the USB stick then it boots up fine. If I power on the Rpi4 with SD card inserted and the Bootable USB stick nothing starts. Also not messages on screen. I assume ...

Re: Switch Adapter/extender

Hi

This is the model:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07 ... UTF8&psc=1

I would have thought maybe a 3d printed bit/part would do the trick? i am only looking for a holder.

Switch Adapter/extender

Hi, I purchased a UPS board. As you can see from the attached image there is an on/off toggle switch. i will be putting this kit inside a case and i want to let my customer move this switch. But it is quite small/fiddly. Would you know of any extension I could use please?

Thanks

Re: improve quality of jpeg captured from mjpeg stream

Hi 6by9 After a long illness I have returned to this project of mine. I am using RPi4 with Buster. I am trying to re-introduce the quality flag for streaming mjpegs. This is what I did: >git clone https://github.com/raspberrypi/userland I then replaced the Raspivid.c file with the one you modifed fo...

Nginx and Javascript example with WebSockets

Hi I am struggling with nginx and websockets. My client is Javascript and I am using Fleck in the server code. So: My JS: var ws; var url = "wss://192.168.0.12:8080/"; $(document).ready(function () { function Connect() { try { $("#lblConnectionStatus").html("Reconnecting...&...

WebRTC

Hi, I got a RPi4. Is it possible to stream video (or mpjeg) from this device+camera to an external network/browser. From what I can see I would need to use SSL/443 but I can only get that if I have a domain associated to a WAN Static IP Address. But my Pi(s) will all be assigned DHCPS so is the proj...

Using WebSockets in Javascript

Hi,

I have a Asp.Net Core wen app.

In my JavaScript I am using web sockets.

When trying to connect I get the Err_connection refused.

I can see no error apart from that message.

I had Googled and the examples see to use Node.js.

Do I HAVE to use Node,js to make WebSockets work in JS?

Re: improve quality of jpeg captured from mjpeg stream

Thanks for following this through. Got a response which answered everything - thanks... Final question :) It occurred to me I may be better off following the main branch rather than the one you kindly created for me to use. I did a fresh install of raspbian and did all the updates. however, after us...

Hi thanks for replying. Last time I tried to solder something the board no longer worked. Also, i want to sell a product and I do not want to spend time soldering stuff that may potentially break-off, become unusable and then returned to me. I just do not want to support it. I like to stick to softw...

Re: Extending Wifi

looking at that case you do have 'holes' in it for usb, ethernet etc.

I am talking about a completely enclosed system and also, the thickness of the plastic can be an issue but i will find out tomorrow

Re: Extending Wifi

Well this would be good news if that was the case. When I Googled 'can wifi go through plastic' i got the results saying it cannot. I am awaiting my Pi so I can test this obviously I would not have asked the question :)

(I broke my Pi before I could test and awaiting a replacement)

thanks everyone

Extending Wifi

Hi All, i am using the Rpi3 which has an inbuilt wifi. My Pi will be contained in a sealed box and thus there will be no wifi connection signal. Looking at the board (I am not a hardware person) I can see the 'black square' that is specified as a wifi point. If I was to have an arial 'poking' out of...
