Re: OpenELEC Testbuilds

I'm not sure, I can tell you it's not a general error. I've only used it over HDMI and the current builds still work for me. Menu sounds don't work anymore but besides from that it works over HDMI. When you updated did you also update the start.elf, loader.bin and bootcode.bin? I believe you actuall...

Re: OpenELEC Testbuilds

Has anyone else noticed issue with 16:9 video files being played as 4:3? Every 16:9 x264 mvk file I've tried plays back in a 4:3 res. Oddly it reads the file correctly in the menus and displays a 16:9 screen shot but when I start the file it's always 4:3 with black bars on the sides. Any changes I t...

Re: OpenELEC Testbuilds

I just updated to 11659 and menu sounds dont' work for me anymore either. Exact same issue as goujam mentioned a couple days back. Videos still play properly and with sound but it appears menu sounds over HDMI aren't working anymore.

Re: OpenELEC Testbuilds

Also tried playing back my testing video which worked on old versions, couldnt start it at all. It says "Working..." for a while and then freezes (1080p h264). Did you try more than once? I've had this exact issue in all versions so far. It never actually freezes unless I try to stop it though. Som...

Re: OpenELEC Testbuilds

Does anyone know how to generate a changelog for the changes? It would be really nice to see what they had worked on.

Re: OpenELEC Testbuilds

Hi Saprky, What's up with the four different files you posted? I get two of them have different partition sizes for different cards but beyond that I'm lost why you have two general ones. Is there any reason I shouldn't use one of your builds and then just use gparted to resize the storage partition...

Re: SD Card Class?`

You can always figure out the class of the card by just putting it into a computr and copying a big file to it. Then just look at the transfer speed. If it's going at 2.2MiB/sec you've got a class 2 card. Just make sure oyu use a big file so that the write speed evens out as it might take a minute b...

Re: Pi shuts down soon after powering up at random points

I posted above about having this problem and since then I've sent mine back got a refund and got a new one. Took less then a day to get my new one from Newark (I'm in Canada). The new one works perfectly for me, it was definitely something wrong with the first Pi that I got because I'm using the exa...

Re: Faulty Pi?

Thanks for the help with the warrenty. Sent him an email and he gave some amazing service. It's literally been less than 24 hours since I first emailed him and I'm already using my replacement Pi and it works great. No more of this random crashing within the first five minutes.

Re: Faulty Pi?

@SliceOpi: DId you have to do something special to get an RMA number from Newark? I've got the exact same problem and I've been trying to get an RMA number from them since last friday (June 8th). So far I haven't had any luck and they insist on communicating by fax which is very annoying.

Re: Pi shuts down soon after powering up at random points

Is it possible that my keyboard and my mouse cause the problems? I doubt it, but if you've got the same issue as me it's very easy to check. Unplug the keyboard and mouse and turn it on. I'll crash within five minutes, no need for me to actually do anything. You can also try it without the tv/monit...

Re: Pi shuts down soon after powering up at random points

I seem to be having the same issue with mine. I've tried multiple power adapters and SD cards and always the same results it crashes randomly after 30seconds to 5 minutes. Even if I just turn it on and don't do anything at all it will crash within 5 minutes. I can get into debian I can even run X an...

Re: *slight* update on shipping from Farnell/Newark...

It's not a system wide change, I ordered before both of you and mine still says Aug 15th as my ship date when I log in right now.

I'm not sure exactly when I ordered but I got my order confirmation email at 5:32 AM EST on Feb 29th from newark canada.
