Re: New PI (512MB) - nothing happend @ start

I have a similar problem. An HDMI and regular analog (two different screens) couldn't find a signal after plugging in the SD card with berryboot.

Error #0?

I get this error on an 8 gig microSD when it gets to writing the last 1% of the image. Anyone experience something similar?

Where do you get the older images from? I only see the 09-18 image on the website at the moment.

Re: Security camera, which software/distro?

It seems like the higher-end cams have H.264 (and in some cases, even a write-to-SD card on-board). I'd assume it's more than possible, now. Ideally, I'd love a solution that could capture full motion video straight from the cam to the RPi. Akin to motion-alerts with pictures, but with videos. I'm g...

Is there a MTBF for RPis? I'm curious of the answer as well.

Re: Security camera, which software/distro?

Thanks for the replies, everyone. After reading about the unlikeliness of motion sensing, I'll probably just go for an IP camera to wifi router and then to pi w/a flash drive. I'm going for a cam that seems to be Debian-compatible. That's about all I know for right now.

Security camera, which software/distro?

Does anyone have any experience making a security camera setup using a wifi webcam and one of the distros for rasp. Pi? If so, any words of wisdom or nice setups that seem to work well?

Preferred wifi adapter?

Is there a general consensus on the best/easiest to set up/most reliable wifi adapter for Raspbian? I saw the list of working adapters, but I am thoroughly confused. I'm hoping to stream video over wifi.

Re: Been playing with a Pi for the last couple of days. General comments!

Is there a recommended (max for practical purposes) resolution?  I'm thinking of connecting this Pi to a HDMI bigscreen as well.
