Re: PiKrellCam: motion vector detect + OSD web interface

This still may not be ideal or compatible for video purposes though. This other board is compatible for video purposes: Now Arducam team designed upgrade V2.1 multi-camera adapter board for both 5MP and 8MP pi cameras http://www.arducam.com/arducam-v2-1-multi-camera-adapter-board-raspberry-pi-8mp-c...

Re: PiKrellCam: motion vector detect + OSD web interface

Oh great. Can you share some footage of that?! And maybe a picture or so of how you've put it together? See these have no mounting options :( Sorry for the late reply @cyclops1982. Here is a video of a hedgehog at night at my home: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whIuWqDA5B0 As for the mounting, I ...

Re: PiKrellCam: motion vector detect + OSD web interface

As i'm now looking for a second option, i was wondering if the camera needs to be specific, or if other raspberry pi camera's will also work. Currently looking at this: https://raspberrypi.dk/en/product/zerocam-fisheye/ or https://thepihut.com/collections/raspberry-pi-camera/products/zerocam-fishey...

You need to set the post capture time in the GUI: Setup->Config->Times->Post_Capture
Or in the config file, edit motion_post_capture.
If you set that longer than event_gap, event_gap will be auto changed to match because post capture
can't be < event gap.
thank you.

Re: PiKrellCam: motion vector detect + OSD web interface

Hello, I just received the ps3 eye camera and plug it in to get a stereo sound. I changed this in the .conf file : # Audio channels. A USB sound card probably supports only mono and # setting 2 channels for this case would be reverted to 1 when the # microphone is opened. # audio_channels 2 It's wor...

Re: PiKrellCam: motion vector detect + OSD web interface

I got the 2 channel audio fixed up and audio can now be used as a motion event to trigger a recording. The PS3 Eye Cam is a good buy. It has better sensitivity than a -35 dB electret mic I was using and is better with noise than those cheap USB soundcards you find on Ebay and Amazon. I've been able...

motioneyes+weather data

Hello, I am using motioneyes to detect a movement, take a pic then tweet it on a twitter account. It is working fine and I'd like to embed a transparent band on the bottom of the pics where the weather and local conditions would be embedded. How could I do this (retrieve the weather from Internet/or...

Re: PiKrellCam: motion vector detect + OSD web interface

It's not supposed to record to the end of the hold period (event_gap) but only through the post_capture time. So the audio length was actually OK and the bug was the video data was too long - should be fixed now.
thank you.

Re: PiKrellCam: motion vector detect + OSD web interface

Hello @Billw & @DaveDJ I have found the problem now, it isn't a bug in V4.1.1 but if you can advise how adjust to record the full mic recording up to the end in settings that would be great Image the mic records until the last motion event while the camera keeps recording to the end of the 'Hold' pe...

I formated my usb key again, ext4 and followed this again : $ cd .pikrellcam $ sudo nano pikrellcam.conf I then changed "media_dir line" to the location of my USB drive. "media_dir /media/pi/untitled" ("untitled" is the name of my usb key), and edited "scripts/startup": MOUNT_DISK=untitled INSTALL_D...

Hello,

thank you for PiKrellCam, I use it to record the wildlife in my garden.
I have 2 questions :

-how to attach a usb key and have it recognised to store the videos and pictures?
-How to set the right time and date?

Thank you.

Hello, I try to use piglow on my Pi. I already have the official screen for this pi, using the first GPIO jumpers to power the display. https://www.raspberrypi.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/GPIO_power.jpg Can I plugin the piglow using the others GPIO pins or do I have to plug it on the first GPIO p...
