Re: Webcam edge detection to OLED display

I now have the webcam playing using mplayer (cheese and guvcviewer still giving black or green screens), and the video is being copied to the small display. I had to hack the fbcp source code to take a snapshot in the resolution I needed, rather than automatically shrinking the whole screen into the...

Re: RPi2: SPI display 320x240

I've modified fbcp to capture the frame buffer at 1/3rd size, and copy 128x128 pixels to my OLED screen. However, the dispmanx_snapshot function does not seem to be grabbing all the screen pixels required. I only see the top half of my camera image. I am wondering if this function is only meant for ...

Re: Webcam edge detection to OLED display

I am familiar with simple C, but people can write very complex software - like Linux itself. Writing the code to talk to the OLED was 1 or 2 days work. Finding out why Linux wasn't working as per the online instructions took ten times the effort. I think the Sobel filter is within my abilities to wr...

Re: Cider Fermentation Chamber

Note that although yeast ferments fastest when warm, the aromatic compounds in the apple juice are also lost faster. If you want your booze asap, ferment it in an airing cupboard. Fermenting at a lower temperature over a longer time retains more aromatics, and allows time for complex esters to form....

Webcam edge detection to OLED display

I wish to do the following: 1. Capture video from a webcam 2. Apply edge detection filter (e.g. Sobel) 3. Send to small OLED display (128 pixels wide) I have written a Linux display driver for the OLED, and now have a frame buffer on which I can play video at 20 fps using mplayer. I have a webcam fr...
