does the raspberry pi keep time with software? i'm trying to understand if i can use timed events in my programming. i have an original xbox and when i plug it in it asks me for the time and date and then after i type it in it keeps time somehow until i unplug it again is the raspberry pi like that ...

hi i liked your preparing the sd card video. it went by a little fast but i definately learned something. did you have to format your sd card? also you unzipped the fedora and the win32diskimager in the same folder is that necessary or just convenient?

the description of the sd card is the same as the download page and the wiki page.
i would rather buy the cards preloaded. it's not that expensive. i'll only need 1. hopefully the rpi foundation will start selling cards soon.
