Re: Writing a daemon script

Here's the output after I removed all of the empty lines from the script, because it showed some error on them: /etc/init.d/MonoDaemon: 23: .: Can't open /lib/init/vars.sh Your pi user doesn't have the right permissions for that file. sudo chmod 755 /lib/init/vars.sh should fix it. Same error :( Ou...

Writing a daemon script

Hi, So I have the following problem: I wrote down a daemon script based on the skeleton example in the /etc/init.d directory, but whenever I try to start the script I get a no such file or directory error. Here's the script which I wrote : #! /bin/sh ### BEGIN INIT INFO # Provides: skeleton # Requir...

Re: Change the IP of the Rpi through PHP

The script changes the interfaces file, but doesn't restart the eth0. Here's how I try to restart it. exec("ifconfig eth0 down"); exec("ifconfig eth0 up"); The problem is fixed after a restart of the rpi, restart of the eth0 doesn't work. But now i have another problem. After the restart and the new...

Change the IP of the Rpi through PHP

Has someone tried changing the IP of the Rpi with PHP ? Here is what I've got so far : public function setNetwork($ip,$mask,$gateway){ $string=" auto eth0 iface eth0 inet static address $ip netmask $mask gateway $gateway"; $file=fopen("/etc/network/interfaces",'w'); fwrite($file, $string); fclose($f...

Edit: The problem doesn't seem to be the power consumption of the converter, since it only draws 20 to 25 mA from the USB.

Mono maximum threads

Hi, I'm currently writing a program which will run on the Rpi. The purpose of the program is to read and turn on/off air conditioners or something else. My idea is to write a C# program which will read from/write to the devices through serial Modbus. The graphical part will be a web page written in ...

Raspbian USB problem

The problem is that the USB ports don't work as they should. I'm using Logitech K120 keyboard which is verified Raspi peripheral and it works for about 5 seconds on random intervals. I measured the power source and it's 5,26 V. I think that this over voltage might be the problem. On booting it says ...

Why don't you try with a GSM modem (or GPRS modem I forgot what was it's name :D ) ? Using AT commands you can receive SMS messages with it and the rest depends on your program :)

You can also install the software center, which will help you a lot in searching a program.

Write in the terminal:

sudo apt-get install software-center
