Re: HDMI to CSI-2 via TC358743 on kernel 4.1

Thanks 6by9. Just so I'm clear (and please explain like I'm stupid): What's the difference between the subdevice for the CSI-2 receiver and the subdevice for the TC358743? My fairly naive and probably ignorant understanding is that the TC358743 chip takes in a HDMI feed and outputs CSI-2 data. Does ...

Re: HDMI to CSI-2 via TC358743 on kernel 4.1

OK thanks.

Given the work that has been done on raspivid and raspi_tc358743 so far, have you any thoughts on how feasible a v4l driver is? I'm trying to get a feel for whether you can use a B101 for this purpose.

Re: HDMI to CSI-2 via TC358743 on kernel 4.1

Apologies if this has already been addressed... I would like to use the B101 to replace a USB grabber in my Hyperion Ambilighting set up. As I understand it, the USB grabber is presented as a video capture device via v4l drivers. Hypothetically if a v4l driver existed for this chip/B101, would the B...

The sha-1 checksum matches so I know it downloaded fine.

I'll try a different one but this particular card has been running fine in my Pi for the last 6 months on Wheezy.

Re: import RPi.GPIO as GPIO RuntimeError

You need to either: 1) Wait for the next release of RPi.GPIO 2) Try the development version if you are brave. See https://sourceforge.net/p/raspberry-gpio-python/wiki/install/ Warning: the development version may contain possible bugs with software PWM, wait_for_edge() and possibly callbacks I'm br...

import RPi.GPIO as GPIO RuntimeError

Hi Need some help with RPi2 and RPI.GPIO please. I upgraded my openHAB box from RPi to RPi2 and as part of my setup I use a python script. However when I try and run it now I get a runtime error: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/opt/openhab/scripts/ENERGENIE.py", line 1, in <module> from en...

Re: Overclocking

I seem to have corrupted the SD card again by running dd with the following config.txt

Code: Select all

arm_freq=1000
disable_overscan=1
over_voltage=6
initial_turbo=30
core_freq=275
The only difference from when it was stable is that I added core_freq=275.

I upgraded and all seemed OK until it tried to reboot after the update. Since then it doesn't boot up. Something from 0.6.3 -> 0.7 has broken it.

Any ideas?

Re: Torrent / Nas / Noob

In a lot of circumstances a NAS box is just a low powered linux box. In most instances the NAS can already do what you want to do with the Pi. I recently bought a D-Link DNS-320 and I've managed to install transmission bt on it and can log in remotely via my phone or pc to get it to download torrents.

Re: 1080p + DTS + no chattering -> which build??

If you go to Settings > System > Video there should be options to tell it that the receiver can decode DTS and AC3. If you select these options it will pass the audio stream off to the receiver instead of trying to decode these on the Pi. The 1 second pause you're experiencing is probably because th...

Re: AirPi - AirPlay audio with Raspberry

AirPlay (video with audio works) in OpenElec/ (I'm guessing) Raspbmc / XBMC for Raspbian/Debian) but AirTunes (audio only) doesn't seem to work. I've heard this is related to ALSA not working properly in some distros.

Re: Instructions for building XBMC for Raspbian

Did you do (as root) ldconfig to rebuild the library cache files? I am not (yet) using xbmc, but tvservice (for example) would not work until I rebuilt the loader's library cache. It will be a lot quicker than a rebuild, if it works. I'll give this a go later when I get home and report back. Thanks.

Re: Instructions for building XBMC for Raspbian

Hopefully a quick question... I built XBMC on my Raspbian image last week. It seemed to be working fine and everything was dandy. Since then I've done an rpi-update and new firmware/libraries have been installed. This seems to have broken XBMC, it errors when I try and run it. I'm guessing something...
