Thanks, that makes sense. (Video over VNC isn't something I was counting on being able to do, but I just wanted to make sure the sluggishness wasn't a sign that things were set up improperly.)

I have a 2GB RPi4B, full updated Raspbian, running headless via VNC with HD desktop resolution, VNC Viewer running on a PC. When I try to watch any full-screen HD YouTube video via Chromium on the Pi, I get a slideshow with about 2-4 fps. CPU goes up to 71C, load 6.6, frequency 1500MHz, memory use 4...

Thanks. Yes, it was a clean install of Buster on the Pi 3 B+. My Pi 4 is coming in a couple of days, so I'll report how the transition goes.

use Pi 3B+ SD (Buster) in Pi 4 B?
If you're running Raspbian Buster on a Pi 3 B+, would it work to just move that SD card to a Pi 4 B, or would you have to reinstall Raspbian for the Pi 4?
