Re: How big is the Operating System ?

OK - I realize it was not a well considered question. I learned a good bit. Thanks to all.

How big is the Operating System ?

I am pretty confused on this, because I am getting three different answers. 1 - looking at the SD card from Win10 explorer I get 57M and there is no sign of the Linux file system. 2 - looking at the SD card from Linux with free -m it says there is 195M in use 3 - If I use Win32DiskImager, which is s...

I2C [Errno 5] Noob in trouble.

I am trying to write to an I2C LCD. Specifically, the Newhaven NHD‐0216K3Z‐FL‐GBW‐V3. I have had good results from Arduinos, but using Python on the Pi, I have had mixed results. I can put characters on the LCD, but I cannot control where, or get the LCD to perform any of the other backlight, cursor...

GPIO.add_event_callback problem

This page http://sourceforge.net/p/raspberry-gpio-python/wiki/Inputs/ near the bottom, says I can have 3 arguments to the GPIO.add_event_callback function but when I add the third parm Python rejects the statement claiming it only allows 2 parms. So I figured my GPIO was backlevel and did sudo apt-g...

Re: NOOBS_v1_4_1.zip Corrupt

I did it all on a mac. I cannot delete the zip file due to some weirdness, but that was only a minor irritation. RPi6 is happy now

Re: NOOBS_v1_4_1.zip Corrupt

Yes, except torrent - not set up for them. I am currently trying it on a mac. Not having any luck there either, but it is probably because I don't know what I am doing on a mac.

NOOBS_v1_4_1.zip Corrupt

I downloaded it 5 times 9/14 and twice 9/15 to my Win 10 desktop. When trying to extract, WinRar just fails. 7Zip tells me "CRC failed: os\Raspian\root.tar.xz" every time.
