Sense Hat missing RTIMU module

Help! I recently upgraded the GNU R packages from 3.1.1 to 3.3.1. To do this, I had to add the stretch distribution to my /etc/apt/sources.list file. In the process of successfully upgrading GNU R, apt also chose to install an upgraded version of Python3. Now when I try to use the Sense Hat module w...

Re: Help Installing R 3.3.1 from Raspbian Stretch

Thanks for the information. I'll give it a try. I fully understand the need for updated libraries. However, I knew there were additional unnecessary packages because R does not require Python. Therefore, I was surprised to see it wanting to update Python 3.4 to 3.5 as well as the LibreOffice upgrade...

Help Installing R 3.3.1 from Raspbian Stretch

Hello, I have successfully install R from the stable version of Raspbian Jessie (version 3.1.1). Unfortunately, some of the R packages I want to use are not compatible or available for this older version. I want to install the latest version of R (version 3.3.1) which is available via the stretch re...

I've been experimenting with the LED array on the sense hat and realized that storing the pixel values in a numpy array would provide a lot more flexibility for manipulating the pixel values as compared to using python lists. While experimenting, I noticed that the sense hat set_pixels() function ac...

Re: Sense HAT RGB values limitation?

Since I could only find limited documentation on the gamma functions mentioned by Davespice, I did a little experimentation with changing the gamma values. The gamma profile determines the "cutoff" value you observed (i.e 50 in your case). Increasing the lower values in the gamma list allows you to ...

Full install of RTIMULib?

Question: Does the "official" Sense-Hat installation procedure (ref: https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/hardware/sense-hat/README.md) include a complete installation of RTIMULib? If it does, I can't seem to find all of the directories contained in the GitHub repo (ref: https://github.com/RPi-...

Help demystify SD card partitions

I have an 8GB disk using NOOBS and I installed the default Rasbian OS. I have expanded the disk partition using raspi-config. However, when I run df I get: df . Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/root 5.8G 4.8G 761M 87% / I'm trying to figure out why df is reporting only 5.8G for the si...
