Overclocking and heatsinks - Mini Project

I found some little heatsinks at work and I love pushing things to go faster than they should so I put the two together and decided to overclock my pi! Here are the values for the clock speeds I used: ## Standard Profiles: ## arm_freq core_freq sdram_freq over_voltage ## ----------------------------...

Anyone else get Doom running on Arch?

After about four hours of very slow downloads and compilation I finally got Doom running on Archlinux, and I just wondered if anyone else has yet?

If so it is great isn't it! If not then I can attest that it is possible if you know your way around Arch!

Re: Been playing with a Pi for the last couple of days. General comments!

<t>Depends what you are doing with it really, what I assume was 1080p did work but would be pretty laggy for any mildly graphically intensive things. So fine if you are just using terminals and coding, not great for web browsing.<br/> <br/> If you can set it to a smaller resolution an d see if there...

<t>Sure I think i can handle that, I spent about a year helping people on a forum, hopefully this one will have less "My keyboard broke when I tried to enter the password" threads xD<br/> <br/> I can also do perl & PHP development, graphics, and I have a few contacts in the education world that ...

Re: How can I become more involved and contribute to the project?

I would really love to help contribute to the Raspberry Pi foundation by donating my time and (limited) knowledge to the cause; but where is the best place to start out, and what needs to be done?

<t>I could knock this up in no time, but there really isn't much point. Yeah I believe a colleague at the museum has just ordered some HDMI to DVI connectors, the TV is novel but really isn't practical!
