Re: What do people want to do that the rpi currently cannot

My Pis have been pretty reliable, (Samba server,VPN gateway and more) the main issues for me with the PI2 are 1 desktop performance. Web Surfing still not useable. Needs 50-100% more CPU and a couple more GBs RAM. 2 server performance. IO throughput too slow (2.5MB/s). Lose The USB - NIC hardware c...

Raspberry Pi 3 despite Raspberry Pi 0 ??

To quote from http://www.engadget.com/2015/11/28/raspberry-pi-eric-schmidt/#continued : “Eben Upton admitted that the follow-up to the original $35 Pi was originally going to be a more powerful model, whose higher-performing internals would have put the price somewhere between $50 and $60.” Can anyo...

DougieLawson wrote:Watch the video at: https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/raspbe ... ben-upton/ and you'll get some idea of Eben's product plans, which don't include a RPi 3 any time soon. The 2A and CM2 are more likely to happen before Pi 3.
Thanks, this (kind of) answers my question.

Raspberry Pi 3 coming up??

Hi there,
is there any news/information, when the Raspberry Pi 3 will be available resp. is Pi 3 already in the make?

(I want to replace my old desktop computer next year - and I think, a somewhat more powerful Pi then the Pi 2 will absolutely do...)

Thanks!
