Well the computer didn't explode, and it worked, for anyone that finds this later. I downloaded the "armhf" version (hf stands for Hardware Float(ing point) I think). https://johnvansickle.com/ffmpeg/releases/ffmpeg-release-armhf-32bit-static.tar.xz I extracted it in to some random directory in home...
