Re: Missing C# library classes?

Well one that is quite useful is the GPIO test tool (there are loads of others in C and C++) http://ms-iot.github.io/content/en-US/win10/samples/GpioTestTool.htm "GpioTestTool Sample This sample has been verified to work with the following configuration: Windows 10 IoT Core: version 10.0.10586.0; Vi...

Re: Webbrowser local files

Any UWP application can only access files in its own local storage tree (and the well know libraries for shared files). To go beyond that will require writing in Win32. The rest is not accessible from UWP. 19. Open a file in C# for access to read/write it // create a file with the given filename in ...

In my opinion MS have done a great job on the product. They are re-selling the Raspberry Pi hardware through their own ecommerce sites. They are continually responding to requests, advice, improvements, examples, code, tools, support. I mean, what more do you want?

Re: Is it possble to use Microsoft RDC to remote PI?

I suppose it is the subtle distinction between a screen (which IoT does have) and the concept of multiple screens only one of which is front (which IoT does NOT have). It can switch to another screen of course but they don't exists until that app runs. You can always capture your own screen (if you ...

The usual comment from Linux applies here. Check your power supplies. Unless (and even if ) you BSOD IoT the card will not suffer any problems in the same way that Linux does not suffer any problems and for the same reasons. The hardware is identical.

I have in progress with Microsoft a OneWire UART project that essentially follows the Dallas application note and as already built for Linux.

Re: Issues with Window Update to 10.0.10586.63

I have 5 Raspberry Pi 2 devices which were running Windows IoT (10.0.10586.0). When 10.0.10586.63 came out via Windows Update, of the 5 which tried updating to .63, one of them consistently fails to apply the update successfully. Four of the devices took 25 minutes to apply .63, but after about 10 ...
