Python 3.5 support

Was wondering when python 3.5 will be compatible. Found a way to apparently install it anyway but that threw some errors (will post those tomorrow)

Is raspbian support comming or can I also install a different OS that comes with python 3.5 installed?

Re: Is the term ground correct?

Yes....ground is another way talking about the negative/zero voltage terminal. While we speak of current flowing from positive (+5v in this case) to negative or ground (0v), in point of fact, the electrons actually move the other way. Blame it all on Benjamin Franklin for having two possible choice...

Re: Is the term ground correct?

The current returns to the other terminal of the power supply. All voltages are potential differences, that is they are between two points. It is convention that one of them is called ground or earth even though it may not actually be at the same potential as the Earth (the planet, hence the capita...

I use the same dongle as you. I used a tutorial by david conroy specifically for this edimax dongle and it worked!

Is the term ground correct?

I'm writing a highschool thesis on communication and a project we made with a raspberry pi. We connected a relay to a raspberry pi and can controll it from our phone. The relay we use has to be connected to a 5v pin and a ground. Now is my question: Is the term ground correct? Because if the current...

Re: Trouble using PIUI

Sorry, I have no idea what you're talking about. On every machine/server/phone/internet TV/etc. in your network you have three significant pieces 1. Unique IP address (within your LAN segment) 2. Netmask (/24 or 255.255.255.0 is normal for a LAN with at most 253 station) 3. Gateway address (which s...

I want to have some files like: /etc/network/interfaces /etc/dnsmasq.conf to be updated with the right ip-address when i hook up my pi to another network, where it'll get a different ip-address i tried the following method: from subprocess import * def run_cmd(cmd) p = Popen(cmd, shell=True, stdout ...

Re: Trouble using PIUI

Found the problem. Because of the apple router the ip is 10.0.x.x and thus wanting to connect to the pi's webserver i had to use that ip (found it using "hostname -I"), this brought me to the nginx standard page connecting to the piui was possible by simply using "ip:9999" I would like if i could ju...

Re: Trouble using PIUI

Any address in 10.x.x.x/8 (probably sub-netted as 10.0.xxx.xxx/24) is a private, non-routeable address just like 172.[16-31].xxx.xxx/16 and 192.168.xxx.xxx/24 so that's not a problem. It just means that your Apple router supports having 16 million stations on your LAN. Thanks for the info. I'm not ...

Re: having trouble using the edimax wifi dongle to connect t

It's not clear what your remaining problem is. You say it works with the ethernet but not without. Since you are bridging the wireless connection to ethernet, how would you expect it to function without ethernet? What error messages are you still receiving? Well the biggest problem is that I'm not ...

Re: having trouble using the edimax wifi dongle to connect t

It might be useful to post the issues that you are still seeing. What have you done to investigate any problems with the driver? Use command lsmod to see if the kernel has got the driver loaded. ifconfig and iwconfig could also be useful to show the current state of the wifi adaptor and network. ls...
