Re: need somagic drivers easycap
Does anyone have a copy of SmiUsbGrabber3E.sys or SmiUsbGrabber3F.sys? I can't find my driver disc and have search all over the net but can only find the 3C variant. The Driver Disk would not inlude ARMv6 Drivers, plug the device into the RPi and post output of lsusb No but the linux driver require...

Re: Tapatalk on the forum?
I'd like to see this too.
The popup can be removed, see this thread:
http://support.tapatalk.com/threads/how ... p-up.8032/
with the popup removed it gives people the option of using Tapatalk if they want but doesn't affect those who don't.
I like choices......

Final update, I tried again on the full Raspbian image rather than the minimal install I was using, it seems to configure now.

Re: Directfb/Pi
I've traced it to these lines in the config.log but can't work out how to fix it: /usr/bin/ld: warning: libvchiq_arm.so, needed by /opt/vc/lib/libEGL.so, not found (try using -rpath or -rpath-link) /usr/bin/ld: warning: libvcos.so, needed by /opt/vc/lib/libEGL.so, not found (try using -rpath or -rpa...

Chiptune with an AY-3-8910 chip
Would this be possible?
I'm thinking get a real AY-3-8910 chip and interface it to the GPIO pins somehow. If it can be done I'll buy a chip and get messing about/learning but if it's not possible I'd rather know now and not waste my time!

Error compiling AdvanceMame
Hi, Has anyone managed to compile AdvanceMAME in Raspbian? The pre compiled binaries at http://blog.sheasilverman.com/?tag=advancemame don't work so I'm having a go at compiling my own. The error I get is: obj/mame/linux/blend/cpu/sh2/sh2.o src/cpu/sh2/sh2.c: In function ‘sh2_get_info’: src/cpu/sh2/...

Pi in an Atari 2600 game
Hi, Someone posted a video about how they'd do this but never posted part 2! I went ahead and tried myself, not the best job but better than a bare board. HDMI and GPIO are not accessable but the projects I'm working on I don't need them (at least for now) but I';m sure I could make a neat way of ge...

Can you give some more details on how you managed to compile FBA? I'm just starting out with it and might as well get your insight instead of working it all out myself!

Re: Android On RasPi
I think CM9 (ICS) will be a stretch but CM7 (Gingerbread) should be posible in theory. There's quite a few unofficial ports for phones/tablets that aren't supported by the official releases.

I run 2.3.3 on my HTC Wildfire using Cyanogenmod. Maybe it's worth looking at doing an unofficial port to the Pi?

Re: Where to get a good PSU from
Thanks, I'm using a HTC branded charger (1a) with a nokia cable but still not enough, I'll look for a branded charger giving 2a and try again (or get a cheap keyboard, I have a feeling the apple keyboard is very power hungry!)

Eventually a USB audio device, probably something class compliant to make things easy.
It's a slow project, after getting it compiled I'll look at drivers for soundcard other than the built in one.15
