Re: SqueezePlug Version 5 ready for download

Hi, just wanted to let you know that this very low priced dongle http://dx.com/p/ultra-mini-nano-usb-2-0-802-11n-150mbps-wifi-wlan-wireless-network-adapter-48166 works flawless with the Pi, directly hooked to the Pi's USB port. Have been testing it for a few days, also a whole day long with all kind...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 5 ready for download

Hi, squeezeplug is running perfectly for me! I only face a small problem with squeezeplug v5.02. When I switch it off with "shutdown -h now" and then a few days later switch it on, Internetradio-Option is gone.. I use LMS and squeezeslave on the same pi, controlled with Android Squeeze Commander. Th...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 5 ready for download

If your after a cheap USB DAC I've heard great things about this item, http://www.amazon.co.uk/FiiO-D3-Coaxial-Optical-Converter/dp/B0053VKP8S given its price. I cannot say if the great things that apparently have been heard about that converter are true. I can say that it is definitely not a USB D...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 5 ready for download

Hello, the 3.5 audio output makes a lot of noise on my Raspberry Pi setup. With HDMI it works ok! What is the best/cheapest way to solve this problem Buy a USB DAC (suggestions are welcome) Or buy a HDMI to audio convertor (like this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PC-HDMI-to-VGA-3-5mm-Audio-HDTV-HD...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 5 ready for download

Hi, has someone managed to sync squeezeslave with some other squeezebox using the same server? I have squeezeserver and slave on the Pi and "Squeeze Player" on an Android device. The latter is just recognized as a squeezeplayer in the server-menue. If I sync the two, squeezeslave and "Squeeze Player...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 5 ready for download

Hi Thomas, I tried without a mouse and only cursor keys. But then Enter-Button instead of space bar. Maybe thats the problem? With the Enter-Button it would not select option 4 in this submenue, but only sticked with option 1. In all other menues I also used Enter-button and it gave no problems! Did...

I am not sure how I'm supposed to find the music on my USB flash memory stick. Is it possible to give some explanation of what is happening here? Many thanks – Simon Hi Simon, I can answer this one I guess, I had the same issue. I login via putty (ssh) to the pi and used the setup command from Thom...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 5 ready for download

Hi, thanks a lot for the update! Unfortunately it does not recognize my USB harddisk anmore that I plug. I think. If in setup I go to MEdia_Handling (in v4 "Library"), then Media_Library, I can only choose to make an empty library!? Anyway, if I continue with "Yes" and then pick point 4, "USB", it c...

Hi themanoutside, I hope you are not mad if I post a pic of my template which entirely tries to follow your design:-) In my case its just a square around the Pi, and a few circles. The outline can be constructed from the data in the picture. I'm not yet finished building though.. Regards, Johannes I...

Re: SqueezePlug for Raspberry Pi ready for download

Hi,
I use squeezeplug with a USB soundcard. Is there a setting somewhere in the sound driver, that will increase audio volume? I have to boost up the amplifier quite a bit to get enough volume..
Thank you already in advance.

Re: SqueezePlug for Raspberry Pi ready for download

Ok, I think I got it all wrong.. Thats not a DVI-Port on the Pi.. So only possibility to get decent sound for analog amp would be either a converter HDMI->VGA/Audio, or a USB-soundcard; the latter one maybe being too hungry on the resources..

Re: SqueezePlug for Raspberry Pi ready for download

Hi guys, one more question.. Since I'd like to connect the RPi with Squeezeplug to an analog hifi amplifier, I have to use some sort of converter digital to audio (since analog output is not really good, as I read). HDMI will go to TV, but then there is also a DVI. Can I just connect the DVI to a co...

Re: SqueezePlug for Raspberry Pi ready for download

Outstanding work, Thomas! I've set up my Pi with the Logitech Media Server and Squeezslave, and I have to say, I'm amazed how good it is. Hi fifthQ, did you try to control the Squeezeslave via an Android-Squeezebox-App, and if so, is it something that can be used in every day life (in terms of spee...

Hi Thomas, thanks for the great work. It'll one of the first things I will try once I get my Pi.. I have a few questions already.
