Re: [solved] RPi 4 unable to connect to WiFi

I can confirm that changing screens will allow the WiFi to connect. Pi4, 4GB, latest Buster (26 Sept 2019), powered via USB-C battery bank, 3A Side note: Same battery bank has 3A USB output as well as 3A USB-C output, the pi4 only works in a stable manner when connected via USB-C to USB-C. Strange, ...

Re: Cron and GPIO relay

one of the problems with raspbian stretch is that when cron runs the networking and GPIO may not be ready. To get round this I use a simple sleep command in the cron line . so assuming python program in located in /home/pi and is called example.py @reboot sleep 60 && python /home/pi/example.py Perf...

e-paper display and GPIO buttons on the back in a minimalistic case

just wanted to share my project with you guys, I wanted to have VNC-able pi zero to program on, but needed a display to see which network it's logged in, so I added also some buttons to actually navigate them:

streaming stereoscopic video into the Oculus Rift

hey there, just a little part of my adventure to do some nice things with the Pi 3 controlling the Oculus Rift. I've written a couple of blog posts now, but this one is to me one of the more important ones: I can locally capture stereoscopic video and stream it into the Rift. The goal is to walk aro...

don't know whether you're still interested, but this gentleman has made the pi work on the DK2 and afaik, die CV1 is not too different from the DK2.

Biped robot upgraded to Raspberry Pi 2

I had a couple of questions answered here in the forum regarding powering the Pi from a LiPo / step down converter. I wanted to thank the forum and share what I actually built from that: A walking biped robot that I developed over the years and recently upgraded to Pi 2. I'll do more videos / a blog...

De- and re-soldering USB plugs, 50% success.

I unsoldered one of the two USB double plugs, soldered USB wires and plugs to the PCB (want to lead them away from the PCB due to space restrictions in my robot). One of the "extended" USB slots works, the other doesn't. I checked with a multimeter that all connections work. 5V+ and GND also work, s...

Re: max voltage to power the pi2?

What's the highest voltage I can put on the GPIOs to power a RPi 2? I have a UBEC delivering 5.46V (specs say it should deliver 5Vm see here: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__18789__5V_5A_UBEC_2_5S_Lipoly_7_2_21v_.html ) and would like to use it to power the Pi from a 7.4V LiPo, but I don...

Re: decomposing USB lipo batteries and sensing the current

Your site ( http://assadollahi.de/ ) appears to be down, so I couldn't see what you've done. When will it be back up? However, the idea of "slaughtering" or "decomposing" LiPo batteries seems somewhat dangerous May be a google translate problem. In English disassembling may be a better description ...

decomposing USB lipo batteries and sensing the current

Has anybody slaughtered external USB batteries for powering the Raspberry Pi?
I did and here's what I've learned. Question: where should I put the current sensor?

Re: Password issues

i just read in another thread that there must be a blank between the rootwait and the init=/bin/sh and windows is handling the new line differently. if you go into that textfile again and delete everything between the "t" and the "i" and add a fresh blank, it works. (at least it did for me, now i'm ...

hey, i've soldered an edge connector to the usb port of the sound card and connected it to the prototyping board. in this way, i can connect via usb plug but also via the board (when i add a usb cable to it). here are some detailed pictures: http://assadollahi.de/active-audio-board-for-raspberry-pi/
