How to connect a 10v dc fan to the raspberry pi 2
So i've been thinking, based on the GPIO layout that is used on the pi 2, I can see that there are 2 5v outputs and one ground. Is there a way that I could connect one of those larger 10v DC fans to the raspberry pi instead of this small and noisy 5v fans?. The goal of this would be to increase airf...

Re: Desktop not booting after installing programs
[UPDATE] so I tried tried using "startx" again and a new error poped up
"Could not write pid to lock file /tmp/.tx0-lock"
and, "unable to connect to X server: Connection refused"
Since i'm relatively new to linux what does this mean? and how can I fix it?

Re: PI 2 - Both led lights stuck - NO BOOT
Ok, I formatted the SD card using the default program on mac which does allow to format 32GB and bigger to FAT32. I made sure that the micro sd card was formatted to FAT32 by pressing "Get info", It told me it was FAT32, so I dragged the files inside of the folder again and popped it into ...

Re: No redlight Green light flashing with no pattern
Start again by writing a micro-SD card from scratch. If there is nothing on your current one that you are desperate to salvage, use it. Otherwise get another card and hope to retrieve files from the first once the RPi2 is working again. I found the problem many months ago, it was that the power sup...

Which is better Heat Sink or Fan?
So I've been thinking, I'm planning on using my pi 2 on the maximum setting for overclocking 24/7. And based on what I've observed so far, the pi does get pretty hot  at maximum processing power. Now, I don't own a case yet for my pi, and i do plan on getting one and, most of the cases i've se...
