I installed a D-Link DCS 5020L camera in my network and gave it a fixed IP-adress. I can open the interface of the camera from within a browser and on Windows7 PC's in my LAN I can control the camera movements and see the camera image. This problem is solved. I tried again, guided by the same tutorial and it immediately worked like a charm. As I wrote earlier, I am a novice on Linux, so I defenitly made a mistake earlier on.
