Re: This is how to get a Pi Zero.

His train ticket cost more than £4, so that was as expensive as buying on eBay.

Re: New FREE Pi Games Released by Webfoot

I'm just wondering how do you download the games? I'm trying to download Alien Invasion. Do you copy the files from a memory stick onto your Pi, or download the files onto your Pi using the Archive tree window?

Re: A new camera coming May 20th?

A short while back RS-Components reduced the price of the raspberry camera to 11euros. Now the cameras are out of stock, new price of 22 euro and an estimate delivery on May 20th? Was this RS-components selling out old stock and preparing for a new raspberry pi camera module? Ask sav25. He guessed ...

Can I suggest making sure the HDMI cable is fully connected to the TV, as I've found myself if it isn't the signal from the Pi won't be detected.

liz, Service industry stuff So it would seem. That was Thatcher's plan back in the day. Basically she said we don't need to actually manufacture anything any more, we can live off services. Goodbye, coal, steel, ships, electronics etc etc. OK, but what do the other 45 million people do who are not ...

Re: We're recruiting!

I think what the RPF is doing is great, but I haven't got the skills to work in this field of work. I'm currently bus driving and the technology for driverless busses could be 10 to 15 years away, so I'd need other work to see me to retirement. New technology is set to be taking a lot of jobs in the...

Re: We're recruiting!

Everywhere else in the UK is London-centric. Cambridge is unique. Not sure that's true - the first bit, that is. The second may well be. Having lived for eighteen years in Merseyside, then four in Leeds and another three back in Merseyside before venturing down to Surrey / Berks, and having had a s...

Re: We're recruiting!

The problem with Cambridge is the cost of housing (it's mental) You can buy an ex-council flat, on a post first world war brick built council estate in the Elephant and Castle for £400,000. That's expensive. Similar to Cambridge. Two up two down terraced house, no off road parking, £350,000-£400,00...

They didn't mention the Sense Hat, Astro Pi on Stargazing tonight.
Major Tim's going on a space walk on Friday so I think they are going to focus on that.
I hope he took up an sdcard with Retropie on it

Stargazing 2016

There's a new series of Stargazing on BBC 2 starting 12/01/16. It looks like its going to be about the international space station and Major Tim. I wonder if they will feature the Sense Hat and the Raspberry Pi? I wonder if anyone from RPF can confirm if the Stargazing team have been in contact with...

apt-get dist-upgrade & Kodi

I've just completed a sudo apt-get dist-upgrade and notice Kodi and python bluez in the info data.

Are Pi Towers supporting Kodi now and are they also supporting Bluetooth devices with Jessie?

Re: Black screen in KODI exit button

It does the same on mine.
I'm running the latest Jessie Raspbian, and have installed Kodi using sudo apt-get install kodi.
With mine I just click reboot instead of exit and it just reboots into the Raspbian desktop instead of freezing.
