2nd UART

Hi.

I was wondering if it could be possible to have a simulated second UART, like Arduino with SoftwareSerial library.

In Python it's a fact:

Re: Windows10/AdaFruit PWM

Hi, With latest release it seem RPI supports PWM. Did you achieve this? Best regards I purchased an adafruit PWM board that I attached to a RP2 running Win10. https://www.adafruit.com/products/815 I now need some .NET code samples to control the PWMs. Does anyone have any offhand that they don't min...

Re: Wiegand RFID Reader

Thank you saper_2.

Awesome explanation.

Exactly, the key is how to control the data between the beginning and the end of each frame setting pull out resistors.

It's a pitty that the sample of github is on Raspbian but enough to try to achieve it.

Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts.

Greetings!

Controlling Arduino from Raspberry Pi 2

Hi everybody.

I wonder if we can control an Arduino board from IoT.

I've made several successful test with Remote Arduino from de Desktop.

Not only to turn on a led but also to read tx/rx pins.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Wiegand RFID Reader

Thanks for your answer ricl.

I have the GP20 RFID working with RS232. It's a big step!, but I need plug it via Wiegand because we have many others readers with Wiegand interface in order to have 2 devices (1 rs232+ 1 weigand)

Thank you

Re: Wiegand RFID Reader

It's an approach, thank you but I already have a RFID Reader:

And for extra difficulty we have another RFID reader connected to the UART pins

Wiegand RFID Reader

Hi folks!

I would like to plug a wiegand 125 khz rfid reader with Raspberry Pi 2 IoT Core.

The first issue is that wiegand readers work with 12vv.

The second issue: I2C, SPI, TTL?
Do you know how can I start?
Thanks in advance!

My code is the same:

No changes made.

Does your TTL Adapter has the CP2102 chip?

Re: Serial port support for the raspi?

It works for me with CP2102 USB 2.0 to TTL Module Serial Converter.

Bidirectional communication works!

Hi folks, I know, I know, there's no DirectX support for Rapsberry Pi 2 in Windows 10 IoT. But I've seen several touchscreens working on it. Thank you for your answers.

I'm gonna try this:

(SparkFun Logic Level Converter - Bi-Directional)

I think is the better solution for not damaging the plate.

What do you think?

Make a buzzing sound

Hi folks, I have a couple of buzzers. When I set "GpioPinValue.High" to the pin the sound level is minimum. Only dogs can hear it. I've bought last week the official wifi dongle here:

It works like a champ.
The bad news: only official dongle works.

It's a pitty.

Re: Serial port support for the raspi?

I meant PySerial in Raspbian distribution Anyway, take a look to this link: https://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/explore/python-vs I agree with "dispachers" RS232 is huge important. We have dozens of peripherals that need to be plugged to the Raspberry Pi. If you install " PySerial ", you can access t...
