Re: Lol- The joking thread

I told my wife I was going to buy a Raspberry Pi.
She asked how much and I told her.
She said I could get a Mango pie much cheaper.

Turn down the temp in the Philippines

I am thinking about making something that will turn down the temperature here in the house. The only problem I have is that I have a fan and a Raspberry pi but that will only blow hot air. Maybe there is some new technology that will help me do this. Of course I could always build a big solar helico...

Re: Completely Lost - display and SD card issues

Correction: Everything worked fine until the message that it had been successfully installed and then I was greeted with the black screen. Nothing could change it. It seemed like the computer just stopped and didn't move to the next line. It didn't give a prompt or anything. I had to turn it off and...

Bought a new HDMI cable this morning and hooked it to our only hd television. Everything is going okay EXCEPT for one problem.
My wife wants her television back!

Re: Completely Lost - display and SD card issues

I have put NOobs on my card and plugged everything in. I am getting the black and white torn screen that usually indicates the wrong network or a bad ground. I have tried using the 1,2,3,4 keys and only the 1key changes things. It turns things off. I am thinking I may need to buy a new tv for this p...

Re: Introduce yourself!

My real name is Ken. I use Raybrite as it is from my Son's name. I am 75 years old and just beginning with Raspberry Pi. I have very little idea what I am getting into but it has fascinated me since it came out. I have been doing Arduino and may someday figure out how to combine the two. I need to g...

Completely Lost - display and SD card issues

I am very new to Raspberry Pi. I am trying to find a monitor to hook up without buying a new television. I have a model2 B. I read that I can use the red, white and yellow plugs to connect to a television or connect through my netbook internet cable. I downloaded an operating system and the installe...
