Re: Quakespasm and DOOM Retro on Rpi3 (help)

Sorry for the late reply, The QuakeSpasm engine needs desktop OpenGL to play the game smoothly . The DarkPlaces engine is a great alternative to this, as it runs smoothly and uses OpenGL ES, the engine that RaspPi supports. My bad, there is a solution to this. You can try the experimental OpenGL en...

Re: What controllers y'all using for Retro gaming?

I just go for the 'retro feeling' if that makes sense  I use a NES controller with a retrobit usb cable. You can buy the cable on https://www.amazon.com/RetroBit-Retro-Adapter-NES-Controller-Port/dp/B004L5KHKS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1489258953&sr=8-1&keywords=retrobit+nes+to+usb You can find a ...

Re: LXDE on RetroPie not starting

Hello, I have been having the same problem, and I have somewhat of a work-around for it. 1. Press the 'F4' Key to go to terminal (if you need to go back to RetroPie, type in emulationstation 2. Type in cd RetroPie/roms/ports 3. Run ls to see if you have 'desktop.sh' a. If you don't have it, you will...

It should automatically resort to the ARM/Raspberry Pi build of Quake3. The AUR Package is available at https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/ioquake3/

Re: Windows games with Exagear Desktop

id really like to play gta3 or networking halo with a few pi's and beers.....but im guessing halo is way too complex to even begin to port to pi Halo is way too complex and requires way too much of the RPi. I was also sad when I heard this  But GTA III would be an entirely different story. May...

Quake3 and OpenArena on RPi Arch Linux

Hey all, Before you point out this is not Raspbian, yes. I am fully aware of that. The reason why I am posting this is because I have struggled with this a lot and found out that it was simple fix. I didn't want others to go through this, so I made this simple guide. Okay, so open your LXTerminal, t...
