You could try using something running the remote client as an intermediary between the phones and the Pi.

A little roundabout, but it might work.

That kind of sounds like it's having a problem actually saving the configuration.

I had some really flaky behaviors that were fixed when I simply re-flashed the card with the OS again.

I think it has more to do with them using the Windows phone OS as a starting point for that. At least that's the impression I get, and it would make sense.

You get a very cut down (understandably) version of what would be available on a server or desktop.

It has to be a universal application to run on IoT, but not all universal applications will necessarily run on there. The IoT version on the Pi does NOT support the full range of functionality that would be available on the desktop version of Windows 10. It's very stripped down. I can't say this is ...

Unfortunately still,
The video driver for the Raspberry PI is still under development, and its performance has not yet been optimized.
At least from my point of view, this is one of the last remaining major missing pieces.

Yes, I would try explicitly removing the application, restarting the Pi, then redeploying your application.

I had a similar issue where it seemed to be holding onto the wrong version of the deployed files.

Has anyone actually seen a specific reference to what context an application runs under? I assume it's the local DefaultAccount, but that is just an assumption.

You could try assigning permissions just like you would normally since it sounds like that just doesn't have permissions to the path.

I don't know how you would get the currently running processes, that seems to be one of the parts they left out under diagnostics. You could add a check for a mutex in the application when it starts, to prevent multiple copies from running. Then add a scheduled task to try start the app periodically...

I'm using a pcProx RFID card reader with an application on the Pi.

The application doesn't really interact with the reader though, the reader just dumps what it scans as keyboard input with a carriage return at the end. So it just goes to whatever has the focus. Works fine.

I believe I've found a solution to this. I created a text file on the Pi named "SyncTime.ps1", and put the text of the command I want to run in it "w32tm /resync /force". It will reboot automatically on an error, I'm not sure if that's coming from the CPU or the OS. The problem with that is that when you have a default start application, and it throws an unhandled error, it can cause it to reboot several times then hang.
