Re: Win95 on real Raspi
Hi all, I just get my new Raspi 3. Then I compiled qemudidi2.rar from Thoronir Qemu with ./configure --target-list="i386-softmmu" --enable-sdl --prefix=/usr --extra-cflags="-O3 -mfloat-abi=hard -mfpu=neon-vfpv4 -mcpu=cortex-a53" --audio-drv-list="alsa oss sdl pa" --audi...

Re: Win95 on real Raspi
Hi ric96, which version of Qemu did you compile? I tested Thoronier Qemu and brandnew Qemu via git, both work for me. Thoronier Qemu with my patches I get from wget 199.231.94.230/qemudidi2.rar Brandnew Qemu via Git works without patches, but crashes a lot of times and is SLOW, have a nice day Dietm...

I tested also the brandnew Qemu. Now, Win95, 98, XP, Nt4 works again with it but is slower than Thoroniers Qemu in qemudidi2.rar on http://199.231.94.230/ Thoronier: 57 bogomips on XP SP1 qemu-2.2.0.tar.bz2 with newest updates from git: 48 bogomips for XP SP1 Interesting: win95, Nt4 is very fast on ...

XP SP1 starts in 11min to full desktop with symbols, best result ever, but SLOW NT4 SP1 starts in 84 sec, Pinball is fast, Moorhuhn works also. For NT4 you need t...

It is a little bit tricky, xp.img is a Fat16 1.5 GB "harddisk"
but I am curious about boottime,

You have to start Qemu with
No difference in speed compared to Bochs!

I build new Reactos, with no ACPI at all. This you see, when the message appears, that now the computer can be shut down. But on Bochs it crashes again. Now I installed NT4 SP1 on Bochs on Raspi. The boottime is about 2 min. It is not very fast, but you can work with  . For MS-word or somet...

Reactos on Bochs on raspi crashs,

EDIT: Message from Bochs is
>>PANIC<< ACPI control: soft power off
So, this seems to belong to implemented ACPI in Reactos.
Does anybody know, how ACPI can be switched off in Reactos?

Re: Win95 on real Raspi
Hi ric96, may be its sound a little bit crazy  but: I heard, that the people from Wine succeed to run Wine on Windows RT (for Arm). So, MAY be its possible to compile Reactos direct on Raspi. After this, you need to know, how to boot Reactos on Raspi. But I think, it can be done. And MAY be...

Re: Win95 on real Raspi
Hi ric96,
no it is too slow.
But the situation is other with NT4 and Reactos.
I for myself shrink XP SP1 to less than 10 MB.
And you can just add each file that you want,
this is real XP Embedded
