Re: Question about about servos (jitter/buzzing/struggling)
I won't be able to see the video until I get home tonight. What happens if you take the current sense out of the circuit and shunt it? I'm wondering if is creating enough IR drop on the power rail to the servo to cause the servo to get squirrelly This buzz occurred even before I added the sensor. I...

Re: Question about about servos (jitter/buzzing/struggling)
Do you have a scope to see if the control output is jittering? If you dampen the servo output with a finger, do they settle down? Is you program continually writing to the port, or does it only write when a change needs to be made? Nope. Pushing them to relieve stress stops the buzzing, but it is a...

Re: Question about about servos (jitter/buzzing/struggling)
Thanks for replying, but I strongly don't believe that is the issue. The arm can move to the full extent of its motion without reaching the limits of the servos. There is additional room and I have to make sure to use values which don't exceed that range of motion. For instance, if the specific serv...

Question about about servos (jitter/buzzing/struggling)
Greetings, Recently bought a meArm. I'm using MG90S 9g metal gear micro servos and a PCA9685 16-Channel 12-bit driver. One thing that concerns me about this arm is the servos sometimes are in a position where they buzz. They buzz even when not under any stress. Though sometimes they don't buzz in ce...

GPIO protection module advice?
Greetings, Short and simple, I'm working on a project that let the public poke around an RPi unsurprised. They can't add anything to the project however, so we'll be working with 5v at the most to power some senors etc. Obviously, I have a need to protect the public from shorting out the board; whet...

I'm using a distro? called Minibian, a stripped down version of Raspbian, for SD space reasons. I will have to try localhost viewing given...

Anyone help me with Motion (web server issue)
Greetings, I was wanting to build a Rpi web cam server. I picked up a pan/tilt platform, usb cam, powered usb, and external HDD, just for this project. But it has been a real headache thus far to say the least. Just software related issues. I'm having absolutely no luck at all. I can get a video fee...

Re: Mini desktop build + audio interference question
Did some testing. I thought it could be a grounding issue... Grounded the pi directly to the DC converters IN, OUT, and the 12v power adapters negative. The noise did get quieter, but it was still squealing and not much better than before. I thought it could be a bad/cheap power supply. Tried a 250w...

Mini desktop build + audio interference question
Greetings, So I wanted to build a RPI desktop. It is still in progress, but this is basically what I ended up with: (32GB SD, Berry booting Jessie w/ Mate desktop and RetroPi atm.) http://i.imgur.com/HkvOuAs.jpg An issue I have been having is audio interference; constant crackling. Especially, while...

Makes sense, a person who would know everything about something, would request assistance. Your responses apply to every question ever asked and I will ignore distractions in the future :D A heavy radio controlled robot will be a new venture for me. But I've been doing various Arduino and Rasp pi th...

Want to help me design a rugged robot?
Greetings everyone! Recently I have dedicated myself to making an outdoor surveillance robot. Goals: -Most importantly, it has to be affordable (x < $300-ish). Can't make what i can't afford. -It must traverse environments such as backyard and trails. Handle a few inches of water and soggy grass are...

Gah! SSH-ing the things
Greetings, New to these parts, sorry first post has to be a question :D yey! Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone would be willing to assist me in getting the networking situation; situated. The Pi in question is a Model A Rev 1 running Raspbian. I'm using it to control a robot, therefore I require ssh...
