Re: Do I need heatsinks and a cooling fan for the 3B+? Getting a case...

Depends on the workload. If really hammering the device, then a heatsink/fan will keep the temperatures below the speed throttling limit and provide faster overall performance. If not really hammering it they won't make much difference. Thank you very much. Do 3 B cases generally work for the 3 B+?

I'm buying a new case and am wondering if I need a cooling fan and heatsinks. Thanks.

Re: Trying to set up a pi zero w as a print server but got stuck.

Okie dokie, I think i'm officially in over my head here. I know very little about pi aside from the several projects I've done with step by step instructions written for a child. So, I'm using raspbian stretch lite. I log in via putty. That's what you mean by a terminal session right? I've physicall...

Trying to set up a pi zero w as a print server but got stuck.

I'm trying to set it up as a print server for a dymo device. I've done everything but am stuck here First, download the Dymo SDK for Linux. You will end up with a Tarball, we recommend putting the tarball into the /home/pi directory and extracting it via the tar -xvf command Next, cd into the new di...

How to manually copy ROMs to retropie?

Any ideas? I have tried to get it to auto copy, but it wont work. I've tried WinSCP but it wont work either due to some weird error. Can I just insert the usb drive into the pi and copy it over with some commands somehow? Thanks a ton!

Retropie 3.0 wont auto-transfer ROMs from USB

Any idea what could be going on? It worked for my when I transferred some SNES roms, but when I tried transferring PSX roms, it wont do anything. It's quite frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Is there a sequence of events to follow to get ROMs to load?

Hey folks, I cant seem to get roms to auto load very reliably. It worked initially, then when I tried to add more games i had to turn the system on/off a million times, insert/remove the usb stick a million times and then it finally worked. Now I'm trying to add some PSX games, but I cant for the li...

Where to put psx BIOS?

I am using retropie 3.0 beta and have no idea how to get the ps1 emulator up and running. I have a bios file, but I cant figure out where to place it. My pi (2) isn't connected to the internet. I tried removing the microsd card and seeing if I could put the bios somewhere in there but no dice. Thanks!

Is there any way to stretch the screen for SNES games?

I won't mind the distortion, so that's not s big deal. I'm using a pi 2 with retropie 3.0. Thanks!
