Read Serial Monitor and Assign Values

Hello, I was following this example here: https://www.instructables.com/id/Raspberry-Pi-Arduino-Serial-Communication/ Everything is ok with this example. BTW I am also using Python. What I want? I want to send two different int variable from Arduino. Then I want to assign them to different variables...

SPI Communication between of Raspberry Pi and Arduino

Hey guys! I made very basic project by using arduino. My arduino reads temperature sensor. That's all. Now I want to see temperature values on Raspberry Pi by Python. And the communication will be SPI . I made this connections on this page: http://mitchtech.net/raspberry-pi-arduino-spi/ Actually the...

friends have a problem. I have a project in which I have a sct-013 sensor and a pi raspberry need to see him on a website within the raspberry, which is the problem the sensor is analog and the rasp is digital as I connect the sensor with the raspberry? Thank you I use MCP3008 to read Analog data b...

Re: Using Double MCP3008

To read the ADC connected to CE0 use spi_ce0.xfer2 calls (although I don't know why people are so fascinated with using xfer2 rather than the correct xfer). Read the other ADC using spi_ce1.xfer2 calls. I think I got what you mean but as you see I'm not good at it. I defined another ReadChannel and...

Perhaps spi_ce0 = spidev.Spidev() spi_ce0.open(0,0) spi_ce1 = spidev.Spidev() spi_ce1.open(0,1) So it's going to be like: Can you check this part ' sensor8_channel = 8.... sensor15_channel = 15' import Spidev import time import os import urllib import RPi.GPIO as GPIO GPIO.setmode(GPIO.BCM) spi_ce0...

That's great! Can you help me about code to read from CE1? Basicaly my question is how can I read data from second MCP3008? My code for one MCP3008: import Spidev import time import os import urllib import RPi.GPIO as GPIO GPIO.setmode(GPIO.BCM) spi = spidev.Spidev() spi.open(0,0) def ReadChannel(ch...

SCT-013 Sensor Reading

Hi guys, I have a SCT-013 Current Sensor and I want to read it by Raspberry Pi . I think it has analog output and it is possible to read this by MCP3008 ADC . I saw some Arduino projects about it and there is a circuit to read. The main question is: How can I read this sensor? I share them below. If...

Re: Converting ADC values to blood pressure

If I understood correct you want something like..

Code: Select all

def ConvertBloodpressure(data,places):
 pressure = (data * 10) / float(1023)
 pressure = round(pressure,places)
 return pressure

Start Error Raspbian

Hey guys, I see really interesting error now. I just wrote raspbian image to SD card and I updated by 'sudo apt-get update' then I just wrote ' sudo apt-get upgrade ' to the command line. Then something happened and I reboot the pi. After this I couldn't access my pi anymore. I took a picture what I...

Re: Circuit Problem

Guys problem was Grounds. MCP3008 has 2 types of grounds which are called 'digital ground' and 'analog ground'. I connected them together. It's a mistake. Right way is: connect digital ground to Pi and connect analog ground to sensors. That's all. Now it's working. :ugeek:

Circuit Problem

Hi guys I used to display 0 - 3.3V by using MCP3008 and Pi. My sensors are 0 - 10V and I draw a circuit (picture below here) to divide voltage. According to my calculations it should work but it shows wrong. When sensor is 5V, I see 4,5V on the screen. And it should be 0 - 10V but after 8.8V it reac...

Re: Some GPIO Pins make Raspberry Pi Shut Down

I didn`t connect Digital Inputs to the GPIO port yet but I use pin19,21,23,24 for MCP3008 at the momment. And when I just use code below it works well but when I use the code that I posted at the first it makes shut down. I hope I can explain :( #!/usr/bin/python import spidev import time import os ...
