Re: wifi fails with a particular AP

Thank you, tomtomnz. Your answer put me on track. Now I generate /etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf at boot time. I start hostapd with a line in /etc/rc.local: /bin/bash /usr/local/bin/hostapdstart The content of that file is: #!/bin/bash iw dev wlan0 interface add uap0 type __ap service dnsmasq restart sysc...

wifi fails with a particular AP

Hello, I am lost. I have my RPi zero w configured as an AP and wifi client at the same time. It works perfectly well at home, it connects to Internet via the ISP wifi router and I can also access the wifi network created by the RPi from my phone, and then access the Internet from my phone thru the r...

default interfaces file

Could someone, please, give me the default interfaces file after installation of raspberrypi-net-mods. I accidentally overwrote it and I would not like to reinstall the package. I spent a few hours trying to find it. Excuse me if this is an easy thing to find. I could not. dhcpcd is not running and ...

Re: "deck" a presentation tool

Hello, Looks really interesting. I use the RPi "armless", no keyboard nor mouse, and control the same desktop that shows in the connected tv set with x11vnc. When I start a deck it displays ok in the tv screen but I cannot see it on the vnc client, nor I can control the presentation with the vnc key...

android keyboard/mouse

Hello, I have been searching for software that allows me to use my android phone as a wireless keyboard/mouse (not display, I use a composite video tv, so not vnc), but this is proving really difficult. "Simple Computer Remote" is no longer available on Play Store, and it looks impossible to get it ...

I found "Simple Computer Remote", I could install the server side in the RPi, but the Android app download is forbidden in Play Store, as non secure download. I cannot find another...

12 V power

Hello, First time here, so happy projects everyone! I have not found a discussion about powering the R.Pi from a car/boat battery, nor did I find a forum folder specific to power units, so I would consider it a "peripheral". I read about issues, or concerns, about using a simple car lighter to usb c...
