Anyone familiar with the Waveshare GSM/Bluetooth Hat?

I was looking for a solution to connecting a bluetooth headset to the pi, and having GPS/GSM access along with a RTC onboard sounded pretty good, so I ordered a waveshare GSM/GPS/Bluetooth/whatever hat . The shipping was reasonably quick even for ePacket from China (under a month IIRC?), and the bui...

How to identify if a ribbon cable interface is DSI?

So I ordered what I thought was an HDMI projector online, only to discover that I accidentally ordered the UC-28B version of the projector that doesnt have HDMI input, just a slot for usb memory sticks and sd cards. Taking a look at this dissasembly video on youtube , I see that the device seems to ...

Trying to figure out if feeding HDMI in is possible

So Ive been mulling over an idea for a raspberry pi powered VR headset. I bought one of those plastic VR headsets that you can slot your phone into and look at a nice little scene like underwater sharks for a few minutes, but the applications available were minimal at best. I happened to notice that...

Re: New Open GL Driver, Bug report thread

A question regarding the new Driver, is there any way to get it working with a custom kernel (specifically the one from adafruit)? I find that glxgears reverts to its previous flickering behaviour after I install the adafruit raspberrypi-bootloader for a project Im working on. curl -SLs https://apt....

Re: New Open GL Driver, Bug report thread

Device: Raspberry Pi 2 OS: Jessie via BerryBoot, fully updated Monitor: 1366 x 768 Problem: rainbow screen (like during boot) from start towards finish loading the desktop, but goes away if I move the mouse, and comes back after no mouse movement. Problem goes away if - I disable the AA GL driver a...

Re: Panic at the Kernel

The sdcard was brand new, so I think it should be ok. The power supply was running from a wall charger into a battery pack, which was then connected to the pi. (stays up through a power failure). The screen was intermittently flickering in and out with a usb device attached, which made me think that...

Panic at the Kernel

So I get home today, and try to ssh into my Pi. The device is up on the network at its usual ip, but when I try to connect it fails. Finally I plug in the monitor to the HDMI port, and get a screen that says kernel panic. Uh-oh... http://i.imgur.com/0r1u808.jpg The Pi itself is a A+ running the late...

Hello and a question about display output

First off, hello to everyone, I just got started with raspberry pi last night, getting raspbian set up via noobs on a tv screen. Ive used linux as my desktop for about a year now, so Im pretty familiar with the ins and outs of managing a linux system at this point. I had a question/idea regarding di...
