Not sure but shouldn't the 1 in the "G3-1" bit be the result of the countif? Or do you get a circular error?

'Gaming' ... I'm going to suggest DON'T do that - just stick to an XBOX or PS3 - otherwise you're chasing your tail trying to keep up on the hw front - especially graphics card Once you cut Gaming out any old PC built in the last 5 years will pretty do what you want - and so I would suggest a coupl...

Re: Script.raspbmc.settings - failure.

Just posting this here as it's the first hit on Google for this problem, and it bugged me for ages. I think it's the "Add-on Information" screen that is crashing, rather than the add-on itself. If you right-click on the "Raspbmc Settings" add-on menu item it loads properly if you select "Add-on set...

Thanks! Some progress following stuff on that website. I now have GUVCViewer installed plus dependencies (I think) via PPM and recognising the camera (and the green light on the camera comes on!!). However, the preview image is black/blank whether Image or Video is selected. Camera connected via a p...

Script.raspbmc.settings - failure.

Hiope someone can help - Raspbmc working fine (mainly!) but I wanted to change the "update" setting to nightly. Trying to run the Raspbmc settings from within XBMC gets the above failure.....I'll try leaving it on overnight to see if it autofixes.. Exiting XBMC doesn't seem to do antything other tha...

LifeCam VX-800 on Puppy 4

I have a MS Lifecam VX-800 connected via a powered hub (which works with everything else and Raspbian recognizes the camera ok but motion is not yet configured properly) I've installed Camorama via the PPM, but running it gets can't connect to "Dev/Video0" which means I'm missing a driver. Not on the list, and I don't know exactly where Mitsai products are sold outside Portugal, but these work fine (with an on/off switch too).

Re: Out with the old, in with the new

I had an idea for creating a flexible light pipe for the status LEDs. Get a cheap TOSlink cable, e.g one of these: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41WcJCbdyNL.jpg The cable tends to be quite thin, but the actual optical part is about a millimetre across. Chop the cable into several pieces, wh...

Re: Is my shipment being correctly proceeded?

Who do Farnell use to ship to PT? My two Pi's were via RS (no great delays) and the first arrived via GLS in about 3 days from despatch notification. The second took a day longer as the GLS driver could no longer find my road so I arranged delivery to a nearby bar. (Of course it could have been a di...

Re: Academies can employ unqualified teachers

I did a PGCE a few years (ok - decades) ago, and I seem to remember it mainly being an opportunity for extreme left-wing educational views to be taught to us aspiring teachers. I think most of us had the sense to spot this and ignore it. I had the sense to forget about teaching and take up a career ...
