Re: Balloon Pi Popper - Problem

Hi thank you for your suggestion but I didnt have that around. However I figured out how to get around the problem and it all works. I disconnect the resistor from the circuit and then power up the Pi. Load up the code and run it (Which will set the balloon pin (2) to off - which i manually added in...

Re: Balloon Pi Popper - Problem

Even if there is a more simple alternative solution to the Balloon Pi Popper that would be great.

Unfortunately I do not have a multi meter, is there any other way I could test it? (I assume you are talking about the resistor?)

Re: Balloon Pi Popper - Problem

I think the original design is bad, as the transistor doesn't seem to have a base current limiting series resistor! Also, it seems they are using the I2C GPIO's that have 1K8 pullups to 3V3, which means that a PI that hasn't booted will still drive the transistors open. Is it possible to fix this? ...

Connections match the worksheet, I'm just wondering if the transistor is one of a different type with a different pin out.

It shows BC635 on the receipt as well as on the actual transistor "CTBC635"

Balloon Pi Popper - Problem

Hi I am currently following this tutorial worksheet. https://www.raspberrypi.org/learning/balloon-pi-tay-popper/worksheet/ First I had a problem with the resistor not warming up at all to pop the balloon, so I unplugged everything and ensured all the wiring was correct. Triple checked and everything...

Motorola Lapdock Atrix with the Pi

Hi, I am trying to connect up a Raspberry Pi to the Motorola Atrix so I can use it for the screen, keyboard, touchpad(mouse) and USB ports. I have found the following guides so far: http://www.instructables.com/id/Raspberry-PI-Motorola-Lapdock/?ALLSTEPS and http://rpidock.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/rasp...
