Re: Windows 10 Usb device error

I did get help here from Microsoft People.

It's just too early to play around with USB devices, because USB devices are still not yet fully supported in this early stage of Windows 10 Core IoT.

Re: How to Consume SignalR in Windows 10 IoT Core Insider Pr

Hi Chris, to Keep you updated: I managed to realize a simple but rock solid Server - Client communication using SignalR, passing a user defined object around. Despite preferring a "self made Framework" for communication (using Websockets) SignalR seems to be a smart way of handling the communication...

Re: Windows 10 SD Image download

So i want to follow up and complain now that i got it running. Windows 10 on the rpi is bs. There is no OS, there isnt even really a command prompt. It a remote shell that allows you to develop on it. So this whole big ooh look windows 10 will run on it is a straight up lie. Completly misleading. I...

Hey,

may Sound funny, but what Shows up when you hit the "help" button? I can remember a few times when it really helped to hit the "help" button in this message - boxes. Of course most of the times it does not help at all :D

Re: How to Consume SignalR in Windows 10 IoT Core Insider Pr

Hi Chris, to Keep you updated: I've changed the Approach of my Project (I will now go for communication between a Notebook and the Pi instead of smartphone/tablet communicating with the Pi) and this makes it possible to use the SignalR Framework at the Server side. I managed to host the SignalR Serv...

I'm new to this Forum and I also recognized the hostile and not very "sensitive" behavior of many Posters here, especially when using MS Products. Personally, I did not feel very welcome here. I'm sorry that I have to admit that but that's how it was. I currently think about leaving this Forum.... A...

Re: Windows for IOT Database?

The best implementation is the following of SQLite, http://igrali.com/2015/05/01/using-sqlite-in-windows-10-universal-apps/ I have to say that implements a high level functionality as you do not need to use sql queries, you can work with the classes and LINQ directly. Cool! Thanks for that hint. Re...

Hi, wiring up on the client side looks stunningly simple. Would it be possible to set up an SignalR Server in an Windows universal app and deploy it to a mobile device? Re: Info on Windows

Ciao Stefano,

Windows 10 Iot (https://dev.windows.com/en-US/iot as mentioned before) is a very elegant way to bring a Windows application to the Raspberry PI 2.
Just try it out, it works very well even in this stage of development and offers a broad range of possibilities.

Hi,

is there a page "Survey" (translated from german). There you can accept the Terms of use (EULA in german).
Maybe you have to do this first before you can download the ISO?

Good luck

Hi,

good question.
But I don't think it is possible right now.....
http://ms-iot.github.io/content/win10/t ... eUtils.htm
(only see Options to set the Startup app)

Maybe we have to think about it as "one app device".

Hey Marcus, thank your for your reply. I really like the idea of having the same OS on all devices. As apple announced their iOS many years ago they said that they follow this "one OS on all devices" idea but quickly failed to do so. Microsoft made some very bad things and decisions the last few yea...
