Re: GPU & CPU Temp in Fahrenheit

Umm, i'm from the USA, and I've been working with computers for over 20 years. We have ALWAYS measured CPU temperatures in Celsius and so have the X86 CPU manufacturers AMD and Intel. They always list Max Operating Temperatures in Celsius. Motherboard and CPU Temperatures in BIOS/UEFI are listed in ...

They have these cheap, but nice looking inverters at your local Harbor Freight:

80 Watt Continuous/200 Watt Peak Modified Sine Wave Slim Power Inverter

They have good reviews and there are quite a few Harbor Freight stores in the Seattle area. I love that place.

Re: RPi4 @ 5V 3,1A not 5,1V 3A ?

The Raspberry PI 4 uses USB-C, not micro-usb, but both power supplies should work fine.

You can use a Micro-USB to USB-C adapter if necessary.

I've been using these for a long time with no problems whatsoever: Yuconn Micro USB with On/Off Switch I'm using a MicroUSB to C adapter with one on a Raspberry Pi 4. I absolutely love my Raspberry Pi 3B+. I almost use it more than my powerful desktop computer. In fact, I may skip the model 4 altogether.

Re: Pi Card Imager - android app prepares SD cards without PC

It makes no difference, I was hoping to use it to write pre-downloaded images. I don't have data on my phone and I see no point in rooting it just to use one single application. I'll just stick to using my PC's to write the images like I always have.

Re: Pi Card Imager - android app prepares SD cards without PC

That makes sense, didn't realize it only worked with Noobs. I was trying to use my own .IMG file. Wouldn't it make more sense for a message to pop-up though, rather than just outright crashing?

Re: Pi Card Imager - android app prepares SD cards without PC

This app doesn't seem to be working anymore, it crashes constantly, usually within seconds of opening it. Tried it on my friends phone as well as mine(different make/model). We are both running android 9.0 and could not get an IMG flashed before the app crashes. Really cool idea, I just can't get it...

I'm running these settings and it is much snappier than stock on my Raspberry Pi 3B+ arm_freq=1500 gpu_freq=500 over_voltage=6 gpu_mem=192mb I would however see if your Pi is stable at a lower voltage before going all the way to over voltage 6. Why not just run Chromium in Incognito Mode?

You could also use private browsing mode in Firefox. I don't believe exactly what you are looking for exists.

You can also download Chromium OS from here:

I believe this one only works on the 2B/3B/3B+ models.

I've not tested this.

I will buy a Pi 4 when the features that I need are working...but I gotta say I find it very hard to believe that the Pi 4 will handle heavy desktop use without any throttling and without any type of cooling or heatsink. Seeing how every other Pi before it throttled. Maybe it really is a beast of an...

From my experience of using my Raspberry Pi 3 B+ as a Desktop PC, the only thing that would completely eliminate throttling was active cooling with a 5v Fan. Heatsinks only prolong the inevitable. These heatsinks I bought awhile back worked pretty well though, and it took much longer to reach the th...

I gotta say..that Smart Pi Touch 2 looks really cool! I might have to pick one of those up myself. I wish the 10 inch screens were more common than the 7 inch ones though...7 inches Just a bit too small for my liking, but it gets the job done.

This one is almost identical to the Elecrow, but it comes with Stand, AC Adapter, and HDMI Cable. That's because the Raspberry Pi 4 does not support booting from the USB ports yet. I'm waiting until they have USB boot working before I buy one.
Hopefully they fix the USB-C issue as well, but that's not a big deal.
