Re: Jessie Simple Ping

So, ... it appears that either my router or Comcast is blocking outbound ping requests. I can no longer ping internet endpoints even from CMD on windows. So, not a raspi problem at all. Thanks!

Jessie Simple Ping - resolved

Hey guys, Just downloaded the latest Jessie-lite and noticed that I cannot "Ping" outside of the network. The pi is connected via ethernet cable and seems to apt-get etc perfectly well so it can reach the internet just fine. I can ping the pi from my network at the IP the router has assigned via dhc...

Re: New pigpio Python module

Hey, I've been using pigpio now and it's working great for controlling both a servo motor and a brushless fan. A couple of issues thought. The fan needs a relatively high PWM frequency - it's recommended to do 25khz in order to avoid the audible spectrum - indeed, if I set the frequency to 20k I can...

Re: Servo (using pigpio) drops my ssh session

OK, I switched the board to being powered separately with the hub and no longer lose wifi.. So I'm going to call this fixed. I did check the current draw but didn't notice a striking increase when the servo was actuated, rather I saw a big drop after the servo went. Maybe the spike was too fast to s...

Re: Servo (using pigpio) drops my ssh session

Well, that's an interesting command, "vcgencmd get_throttled" just returns 0x0 before. After, I get kicked out I have to log back in, and it says the same after. The servo is powered from the same supply but not through the pi. I'm going to put my meter on there and see how much current is being pul...

[Solved] Servo (using pigpio) drops my ssh session

Hello all, Just found the cool pigpio library and python binding which I'm hoping will help me drive brushless fan motors using high speed PWM. Also want to drive a servo, and got the latter working very well, at least for one move. As soon as I command a move my ssh session drops and I have to log ...

Re: Streaming mjpg from Raspberry Cam

BTW, I looked more closely at the OctoPi script and it does use the experimental build of mjpg-streamer.

Re: Streaming mjpg from Raspberry Cam

Hey guys, I'm wondering if anyone knows about using "advanced" uvc camera controls with mjpg-streamer when a usb webcam is in place? I'm using something called OctoPi, which is a Raspbian OS with Octoprint and mjpg-streamer installed, it's great for controlling a 3d printer remotely. My challenge is...
